The OP asked his attorney about the independant contractor/editor relationship. The attorney told the OP that he should keep copies of his reports that he turns in, as he could sue the editor for a low rating or if his pay is docked, especially if the editor changed any of the OPs wording or content of his report.
The OP then makes a "joke" about fixing up the attorney with a "free-spirited" women (which I assume means that the women is open with her 'favors' if you know what I mean) in return - the joke is that the women is not human, but is really a dog.
In sum, while there might have been (arguably) a point, it isn't one that I find particularly helpful (as I disagree with the attorney's "advice"
or funny (in the case of the joke). I love me some veiled humor - don't get me wrong, but the whole dog/women joke is tired IMHO.
