Hi Geraldine,

you are at the right place.

2 weeks ago I started to read every post, I wished, I would have done it more early.

Good info and fun.
HELLO, my name is Anna Marie. This has been a challenge for me to do. But looking forward to jumping in with both feet!!
Oh, I have worked around that area with my regular job - You should have some interesting assignments in your area. Just jump on in and join the crowd - - -
I've just been skeptcal because of having to pay and I don't want to do that kind of assignments. I hope that this not going to happen. Money is to precious to come by, especially when it comes to gas prices. $4.60 gallon!!
Haven't started any shopping yet. I'm new been reading all the different forums all day. Hope to learn all I can to know the good and the bad. Been reading alot of controversy with the different sites???
Hello Kevanna, my name is Veronika from Texas.

I am shopping since 02/29/2008, did around 150 jobs, 90% got paid, the rest I'll hope will come soon, because they have a longer pay schedule.

The following are companies who paid:

Bestmark
Mercantile
About Face
Corporate Research
Market Force
Trendsource
Bare
GFK
SSAnet
Ellis

Don't wait - it's not so bad. Most of the jobs are ok.
Most of the time you only remember the bad reports, but you forget about the majority of good ones.

My daughter and I have a lot of fun.
Kevanna, if you had to pay at any site, you've been scammed. Drop those. Then look at some of the legit companies and start with a few easy shops.
I would like to THANK ALL that has helped me to understand. I have prayed and feel alot better about this. My heart has been torn so bad to try and understand what I have been going through with SHADOWSHOPPER. Being on this forum all day yesterday and reading everything that everyone has had to say, I feel so much better today. Now before I start signing up for the jobs on the different sites, one thing that I've never been good at is a job resume. I have always just talked my way though an interview and answered there questions. I have alot of different experience on different things but I don't know how to put that in words that are short and to the point. This sounds so pathetic, been 54 years old and don't evn know how to do it. I ak my 3 adults girls and they just laughed at me. HELP DESPERATE !!!!
Hello Anna Marie,

I like to keep it short, and I did not get any negative response.
If I realy would write a resume, then it would be 2 pages long. I am 52.

The following are 3 samples of what I write. Every company asks a little different. Look at my first one, Now I think it was not so good, but they gave me a lot of jobs.

Franchise, Company chains don't have the manpower to control all the business sites 24/7.
We mystery shopper are their second eyes.
Through us, they see the positve and negative sides of their locations, which helps them to make changes positive for customers and their profit.

Twenty years ago I did test shopping for a drugstore chain in Germany.
Since 02/29/2008 I mystery shop for 6 companies and fullfilled over 90 assignments with success.
My hobby is math, which results in me being depandable and accurate.

Mystery shopper are the tool for companies to identify positive and negative sides of their business.
Thru mystery shopping changes can be made, which results in more profit for the companies and more satisfaction for the customers.

The following was my first response:

WHY DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD BE A VALUABLE SHOPPER

I did test shopping in Germany for a drugstore chain, I go shopping here in TX since 1994, and I would like to report a lot of negative experiences, maybe this way it will change.

Good luck and feel free to ask if you have any questions. I am not a superstar yet, but I learned a lot on the job and thru this forum.

Kevanna, I am so accustomed to resumees for the business world wanting employment for the last 20 years that that is what I give them. I follow a fairly simple format of name and contact information (address, phone, email address) at the top, then I usually have an "Objective" section that is about a 2 line spiel about what I am looking for--which is easily changed depending on what the target company has to offer. Then there is a list of "Employment" starting with the most recent, which is "Self Employed - Independent Contractor" with my start date to present. Under that I list the types of jobs I have done most frequently. The next item then was my job title before I retired, with the dates I was with that firm and the name of the firm. Then a brief comment about what kinds of work I was doing. Once I have hit 20 years, I cut it off. Then I have an "Education" with dates of my degrees/diplomas and the granting institution. Then I have a "Skills" section which includes for mystery shopping mostly my computer skills. It isn't short, but it is laid out neatly and looks professional. There are only a very few companies that have asked for it.
