If I ran the zoo... or had a few extra gazillion dollars...

.. one of my first tasks would be to seek an existing fund or establish one for individuals and families who experience wrongful claims of child neglect and abuse. I was reading recently that some child abuse docs are wielding so much power that their word is practically a god that is revered and obeyed-- unless and until someone can obtain additional medical and legal opinions to the contrary. These additional opinions are expensive, and no one should be expected to work for free. Some families have prevailed because they had access to funds. Other families have no spare funds. What can they do in the face of a misbehaving medico- legal system that is indistinguishable from a bludgeon? If it is absolutely wrongful to smack a kid with a blunt force weapon, it should be at least as punishable to smack a family with wrongful charges that are costly financially and in other ways. *picks up soapbox and prepares to walk away*

But what about you? What would you do with so much spare cash?

Love this! Can't see how it is possible, though, given the variety of viewpoints in the world. Nonetheless, I linked to Cloud-Townsend resources, which shows some of what is in their book titled 'Safe People' and represents one general point of view.

Nowhere does this summary indicate that any one person should play God or otherwise dominate others, which is steeped in a power differential and is extremely unsafe for many persons. This one point may be the only factor in common with many other faiths, practices, views, and philosophies.

If this one point is sufficient, there may be hope for the world.

The deal is, the plan is in a wise Creator's hands.
