It's Thanksgiving in Canada, this weekend.

Also, we have Truth and Reconciliation day on September 3O. The Schools, banks, etc. were closed. I don't know if any shops closed.

And we have National Indigenous Peoples Day, on June 21. It's only a holiday in the Yukon and Northwest Territories. An observance everywhere else.

Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching kids what counts is best.

The school where I work never gave federal holiday Columbus Day off, but as of last year began recognizing Indigenous People's Day.
