12-24: eggnog (and other events)

How do we feel about eggnog? Do we like any of it? Do we make it from scratch? Could we afford store-bought this year? Do we like plain more or less than spiked? If we like the spiked, are we being careful to avoid the sad of the grandma of song who got run over by a reindeer?

Never had it and have no desire to try it. My entire big family.

For me, it is extremely sweet. We are not having it this year. In previous years, I only had the plain variety. Think it would be intolerable with booze. ?

I like home made. My dad made it every Sunday when I was growing up. The store bought just has an ingredient I don't prefer.
I'm making a light version with Cashew milk that is only 25 calories. I bought Vanilla Bean to give it a great flavour. I do like it with rum.

I cook the eggs in mine,. Dad didn't.

I'm not a fan of straight up eggnog, but it's a decent holiday substitute for coffee creamer.
