The Ying and Yang of msing...

MSing 's has two components, let's call them the Ying and Yang. The Ying being MSC's that work with you, you know what your getting into "before" taking the job, pay is in keeping with amount of work, location within your radius, not getting bombarded with nonsense emails for jobs out of state, etc.

The Yang of MSing for me would be accepting a job and later finding out it requires so much more than the scheduler or email states. I recently accepted an audit which paid $12.00, so, I figured it should be a breeze (wrong). Upon accepting and reading instructions, the job was pages long, and the scheduler said, don't worry, no need to answer everything, just skip what you didn't see in store. The instructions however said, report will not submit unless you answer all questions (which was impossible), yet another job (Ikea comes to mind), why can't we at least see what we're geting into ahead of time, oh, bell gone off, then no one would do it!!

yup... ya gotta be willing to at least try ... and then after you find out you can decide if you want to do the job or not... i have no problems with canceling... if they say its easy and its not then their opinion is wrong...

Don't let anyone on this forum know you cancelled...you'll be sentenced to life in the mystery shopping prison, and we all know that's not good! I agree, cancell those shops, and give them the message, no, it won't work to entice and pretend a shop is easy, when it's impossible to do.

dear me... mysteryshopping prison... does that include doing un bonused shops for CRI? ... that would be more like volunteering...lol

the shop that came to mind was a bank call in Georgia... they wanted me to recall and use different information and write a new report... it was for 5$ and a company that i hadnt worked for before...i had already spent 40 min filling out the stupid report.. i think i spent 7 min with the scheduler explaining that "No I would not do the shop again. The form was to long and to detailed." I think i finally hung up on them...

another time it was for a sub shop at a mall far from my house... i was already heading for the area on a date... i ended up being late... shopping the wrong time and having a hard time getting names... i am not sure i called them... just chalked it up to another company that i wouldnt need in the future...

another time i had to do a theater install ... and it was capped at 90 min... i think i worked with an employee for 2 1/2 hours... if i didnt have help i most certainly would have quit... (worked out to be 7 dollars an hour) all the times before the theater had the stuff set up before hand... this was the exception... and i have never done a set up since... in fact i only do checks for the company...they just dont pay enough...

last time was last week... had a quick shop before work... but i didnt see that i needed a partner... and i didnt have time to get my mom and bro was at work.. so i just emailed them and canceled... im not sure if they even docked me for it...

ah... confession is good for the soul...

Whenever you see those "fun and easy" shops, rest assured they are neither fun nor easy.
yes they do seem to be misleading... but thats the wonders of opinions... they are soley dependent on ones perspective... which sometimes are bout as a reality as clean coal...
