I am signed up for the basic freebie level of LinkedIn.
When I left full time employment, I changed my status on Linked In to "self employed".
I sometimes check to see what my former co-workers are up to.
Anyway, recently I noticed LI is sending me more and notices about
independent contracting work for self employed people.
I clicked and looked around - pay ranges vary, but seemingly, people would decent skill sets could make some cash. Of course pay is much higher than MS rates.
Then I remembered people on this forum mentioning the desire to find more non-MSing work, so I am mentioning it.
I cannot personally vouch, since I've never signed up - but it may work out for someone, just passing this along. I may sign up for these jobs in the future, depending.
I have no idea how much tolerance the LI website has for scamming or scammers - so YMMV...
