Work party today, everyone is dressed up. After all the patients have gone, we are locking the door and having fun. Games, music, food, etc. My kids are grown and my son has to work overnight shift so tonight will probably be scary movie and popcorn at home with my daughter. By the time I get home, I don't even get to see the little ones trick or treating.
Handing out dollar bills to any Trump related costumes along with good candy, while handing out candy we'd never consume, such as poop looking Tootsie rolls, to the lib costumes.
Im working and then having my son and his girlfriend over (along with my daughter who lives at home and her friends) for chili, apple cider, s'mores around the firepit and fun times with family and friends. We'll hand out candy to any child who visits and keep politics out of it since we are a kind and compassionate family.
Truth be told...

No tricksters to treat. In our rural area there are more horses, cattle, swine, goats, and tractors. It's quiet.
Ready for trick or treaters in a few hours. Will have some tunes cranked up for them.
Have some bars just in case. Rarely get any Trick or Treaters.
Watching Halloween as I've never seen it.

Happy Halloween ! everyone

No trick or treaters here for the past 5 years of so. We live on a cul-de-sac in a sort-of rural area. So we're just sitting here watching the World Series!
I haven't participated in Halloween at all in about 35 years? I know my kids still dressed up and trick or treated after I went to work for the phone company on 2nd shift. But they were mostly grown by then, and no one was giving out candy at my house. I've never been a big fan, I hated going up to strange folks houses and begging when I was a kid.
I’m against people over 13 dressing up. Halloween is for kids. I don’t want high school kids showing up late without making an effort to be anything either. They get nothing!

Hey, don't impose your beliefs upon me. I IDENTIFY as a kid!

...oh, and Hate Has No Home Here.

So you decided to cross species from woodchuck to identifying as an adolescent boy? (or girl).
That’s a new one. I’m no expert but you would think that would at least require having opposable thumbs.

The movie, Halloween, is not that great IMO. But we might watch the second one today.

On Saturday I, and about 100 other women dressed as witches and went on a pub crawl in the nearby small city. It was pretty fun. The 5 businesses had special drinks and snacks for us to order. The Mexican restaurant had a blood margarita, another restaurant had a charBOOterie lol.

The wine tasting bar, in a liquor store, served us pumpkin spice wine and pumpkin spice whiskey.

I only went to the first three venues. And I think many did the same. After the first three staggered visits, we all gathered in one place. There were cackling contests and broom races and we recieved "Swag". The swag was coupons to various downtown businesses. And they mostly expire today grinning smiley

Home in bed by shortly after 10.

One young man joined us.

Kiddies started coming after 6PM. So cute. My DDs made candy (full sized chocolate bars) and trinket bags (memo pads/pencils), dressed up and answered the door. We gave dollar bills to the children we knew. Had many bags left so they took furry baby loves on a long walk and handed them out to the few that were still out. No other festivities for us.

A Witch Crawl? Why wasn’t I invited???
@Minime
Next year lol
I'm 70 and this is the first pub crawl I've been on in my life.

I'm assuming this was organized by a downtown business association. I'm guessing there will other events that my friend will want to go to. I'm a homebody though.

@Madetoshop sounds like a fun Halloween. I'll have to dress up next year, drive into the village and run around handing out treats lol

In college days there was this thing called "The Loop." A group of bars with cover bands. You'd get a hand stamp and could travel from pub to pub. There was a small bus if you wanted to quickly travel from one place to another. They sold T-shirts that said, "I got Looped." Just one big college party atmosphere. Absolutely no college protests then. Of course, no social media, no smartphones with cameras, only males and females, etc. The good old days...

I didn't have that kind of spending money in my college days.
No protests? Seems I was on a march or two back in the day.
