"When I said the TV was broken and threw it out when you were 5 Tom I lied. I just got sick of seeing what was on TV." (i think i was 15 when she told me this...Never had one until i got one when i was 21 and i believe it was the 2nd best decision she ever made after raising me and my bros in church...and should i have kids i will do the same.)

When we had boy problems, my Mother's phrase was, "Don't worry, another bus is right behind" or "Be true to yourself", and the good ole, "You can't judge a book by it's cover", and then the always, "Everything will be alright".

Yeah, only the starving kids were in China. And I had to clean my plate. By the time I graduated high school I'd cleaned my way to 310 pounds because of those starving kids. Now I send the money to missions and have gotten down to 212 as of last Weight Watcher's meeting! Mom's not always right, lol

Not my Mom, but my Grandmother (who lived with us), used to bring peanut butter and jelly sandwichs to school (playground), and stay till I finished. I was thin and didn't eat much, she would always say, what about the poor children in Europe, eat Momala eat!!!
