It appears that the investigators have determined that she was probably taken from her home against her will. They haven’t shared if there were any signs of a break-in, but it doesn’t sound like it. Her pocketbook, phone and car were still there.
Does anyone find it disturbing that ice can remain in plain clothes on the job, with only an ice vest, a mask and a gun? How can the public discern if they are legit agents if one or more turns up on their doorstep? What is the target obliged to do? Resistance could get them killed.
Now anyone can use the same items to pose as an agent who has the authority to throw someone in their car. If the victim is yelling for help, will others take action to help or just find it commonplace? It makes me think of the Kitty Genovese case years ago.
