War on the homeland?

I caught some news articles last night - that the FBI has sent warnings to California authorities about possible Iranian strikes - maybe drones not sure.
Is it one thing for Americans to die in the Middle East and another for Americans to die
in the homeland?
Your viewpoints? I mean in one case most can <<understand the risk is naturally higher for military staff due to their roles and locations>> but what about the risks to civilians? do Americans see it differently when the weapons land in their own backyards? I am not referring to what a single person here thinks, I am referring to how you believe the people of America would view this?

ETA: clarified for Minime.

I doubt anyone tries to rationalize American deaths due to terrorism by whether or not the victims are service members. That would insinuate putting a higher value on one, which isn’t very high minded.

Terrorism is nothing new to the ‘homeland.’ It can happen whether we are at war with factions in the Middle East or not. It’s been a matter of making sure the radicalized among us and beyond don’t have access to weapons of mass destruction. We’re now facing that reality and there are no easy answers. It’s always been to make sure they don’t have nukes or missiles that can reach the US. Sitting back and allowing that to happen isn’t a solution either.
It's hard to trust what the FBI says after so many recent screwups, but it could be real. In either case I think they are overstating the dangers in an effort to whip up support for the war, which most Americans oppose, according to most recent polling.
I saw a meme of Florida labeled as California, and an arrow pointing to Mar-a-lago.
BF- Your original post differentiated the value of the lives of service members vs. civilians, which is why you edited it. Otherwise it would have been kept intact and expounded upon in another post. You asked for (our) ‘viewpoints.’ You got one but didn’t like the answer.

In the next edited sentence you explain that you asked us to comment on behalf of ALL Americans - who are obviously divided on the war in general, right? I’m not sure why you are asking people to speak or theorize on behalf of ‘others’ in terms of how they view peeps killed on American soil vs. Iranian soil. (WTF?). You did add ‘if the weapons land in their own backyards’ (to insinuate that some would have hypocritical views.)
Why would anyone attempt to do that? Trust that I would not have responded at all if that was what you wanted to know, esp. knowing that individual viewpoints were NOT wanted. lol. Why not share your own opinion instead of quizzing others? At least it would be more comprehensible, and less PA.

Sounds like Karma in action…
The war has been underway here on our streets and in the hallowed halls of politics

Storming the Capitol…
Stealing people as slaves…
Committing unspeakable atrocities against women and children by the Epstein cult as the most perverse expression of entitlement…

Then there’s ICE.
100 years ago in Germany it would’ve had a different name but it’s all the same.
Only the faces have changed.

I really wish human kind would grow the ——- up and stop repeating the same insanity.
