Robert Mueller has died

Robert Mueller, longtime FBI director, has died.

Trump says "I'm glad he's dead"

Mueller was an American lawyer who served as the sixth director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 2001 to 2013. A graduate of Princeton University and New York University, Mueller served as a Marine Corps officer during the Vietnam War, receiving a Bronze Star for heroism and a Purple Heart.

Wasn't a fan, but sure didn't want to see him die.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
But when trump dies and folks say it a, party will be outraged.

He is actively dying before our eyes.. he's feeble, can barely walk, or talk and makes no sense when he does, He's getting regular MRI's on his brain to monitor it's deterioration from Frontotemporal dementia. And many doctors speculate that he's also had a series of strokes or TIAs. And I have no doubt in my mind that the MAGA wingnuts will riot when it finally kills him off.
The same people who condemn Iranians for wishing death upon America, now celebrating the death of a Bronze Star/Purple Heart recipient.

That is what too many people voted for. A shame. I said some place else, that when the south wanted to secede, Lincoln should have said "Lets talk maps".

But hindsight ya know
I think changing the maps and letting the confederacy form their own country could have worked. But in the early 1800 the country would have been cut effectively in half. And there was no telling what would have happened with the rest of the territories that hadn't become states yet. But I could see it if they could have been limited to Texas and everything South of the Mason Dixson line.

If they decide to do it today I'd like a heads up so I can get to a state in the "North". I really don't want to be here anyway, I came so I could have a relationship with my grandsons. But that isn't happening either. I'm fine to go almost anywhere else, but if it's North of KY, I'll need to have a basement.
I can become a Canadian citizen if I like, my Mom was born there. I think I will see exactly what the process is. I can move to Canada and only be 20 minutes from where I live now (Detroit area).
I see your point exactly lol, 87Supra.

I am at the point where I think perhaps we should split into two countries. I don't think it would work out well for one side, but they won't believe it until they experience it first hand.

As for me, I am already in the best spot for me personally and have a back up in the form of legal residency in another country outside the US.

Of course, wise people know there is no place perfect in the world....at least outside of Northern Europe lol.

Ut oh… somebody just stepped in it…
When I first saw the comments of his death on X, I was a bit surprised at how nasty they were. The I started seeing articles about all the bad thiings he did. I don't like to speak ill of the dead but he was a nasty person in his later life. He was responsible for creating much of the division in this country. That's all I will say.
Yes, upholding the law and protecting the democracy usually creates enemies, but who needs those kinds of friends anyway lol.

He dragged out the impeachment investigation to the point that it got Rump off the hook. The dems gave him more credit than he deserved and never complained about it. I remember at the time thinking that the constant delays could have been due to nothing more than him lining his own pockets. That seems to be trending these days. If any one person was responsible for Rump 2.0, it was him.

I have not seen the evidence that Mueller was corrupt. Care to share?

That trump said so (if he did), does not count.
He and his team documented their findings, but stopped short of charging the president, since a sitting president cannot be charged with a federal crime and Mueller stated as much.

Mueller, a lifelong Republican.

Why the outrage?
