Cashier refused to put my items in my own bag

I went to my local store this afternoon for items for supper tonight.

I put my own bag and items on the belt.. The older cashier lady wanted me to BAG MY OWN ITEMS after she scanned my items.. She asked me was my arm arm broke?

If I wanted to bag my own items, I would have gone to a self a check out.. I DO NOT let self check outs..

If you don't like putting items in other people's bag then you should not be a cashier..

I guess the company will not do anything about it and she will still be with the company.

She asked if your arm was broken?! I would have used my cell phone right then, do a Google search for their corporate office phone number, and make myself a good ole call while I was standing in front of her. Done it before. It's an automatic attitude adjustment.

No it was not a shop..

That is why I posted in the General Chat
When I self-check at those Walmarts without cashiers, I always hit the one star. I don't like self-checkout, and unless I am in a hurry, I won't use it. A lady asked me why I did that, and I said, "My service sucked." She said, " Well, that goes against my bonus, I politely asked her what service she provided me today that needed to be rated. Because the only time she spoke to me was to give me lip service about a one-star rating.
I gave the cashier one star

If you give the human cashier (Or the self check out) one star how can they tell? I know they have a system or something that tracks stuff like that

Do they really do anything to the human cashier that gets one star?

I did not know WM gave bonuses for stuff like that...
Update

I received a call Friday morning regarding my experience.. I was not able to get to the phone but he left a message

He said that he apologized for that and to let me know that they pull themselves to a higher standard. He asked that I give them another chance and if I have any issues please call the store.

At least he called me back first thing Friday morning..
My mom was a cashier at a grocery store for YEARS. Before we knew she had a brain tumor that was causing her to have personality issues the stories I heard from the managers on what she said to customers was hysterical. The only thing that saved her job was she had been there for years and they loved her. We knew something was wrong but just not exactly what it was.

One customer bought beer and asked for a bag. My mom told her "if you are embarrassed by they beer you shouldn't buy it." I still laugh about that one. The lady of course complained and the managers talked to her. I have never seen so many people relieved when I finally called them to say she had a brain tumor and would need an extended medical leave for surgery and recovery. She did go back to work after the surgery and was more of her typical self. She was laid off when the store sold to a larger company and merged. But the stories of what she said to people always makes me laugh.
I don't buy or drink beer, but I thought if you bought any kind of beer (Unless like it is in a case) it has to go in a bag.. I guess all places are different..

Glad that she was able to go back to work but sorry that she was laid off when they sold to a larger company.
Your response made me curious about which states require bottles or cans of beer be put into a bag. I searched, and the answer is no states require that beer be put into bags. Bagging is typically done by stores to comply with local "open container" ordinances, which prohibit visible alcohol in public spaces (if they are open / being consumed), or as a courtesy for privacy.

I guess I am in a minority as I PREFER the self checkout unless I have a basket full and I rarely do.

Same. I was an early adopter for reusable bags so for me, it was not having to deal with pushback from staff that didn't want to use them. It's still that way to some extent. You'll get one now and then who makes a face. I did have one who expressed surprise and said my bags smell nice. I'm like... They smell like Tide? I wash them. She made a big deal about that like she thinks that most people bring filthy bags. I had one want to fight me over meat because I said, "brown bag for meat, green bags for produce, please. She's like... "We have to use plastic for meat." I pointed out that the meat is already in plastic. She wouldn't let it be until the cashier told her to just do what the customer wants. I felt like asking how often they sanitize the carts and conveyor belt because that's where the cross contamination is going to happen, not because I use a reusable bag for meat instead of a plastic one (and wash it!)
When I go shopping I have polyester bags, they are fully washable (kinda like parachute cloth). I take 3 bags in with me and I put two bags inside of the 3rd bag, it's easier to carry that way.

ONE bagger at a local store. She said that someone accused her of stealing an unused bag out of bags like mine. My son asked if she saw the unused bag that was inside my bags, still folded up. But she made a big scene and said that my son accused her of stealing my unused bag. Which leads me to believe that she did steal it, because she made such a big fuss over a stupid bag.
If cashiers ask if I want meat in a plastic bag I reply that I will wash the reusable bag once I'm home. And sometimes I explain to them how a customer bringing their own bag does not want a plastic bag to be used.
