Series

I watched the first season of Paradise. It was a struggle for me to stick with it. I'm not interested in season two.

I'm waiting for new seasons of The Morning Show and Your Friends and Neighbors.

After Yellowstone, I was ready to swear off anything by Taylor Sheridan. Then I watched The Madison. I've only watched two episodes so far, but it's a welcome departure from Yellowstone and Sheridan.

I just remembered The Last Thing He Told Me. I've only watched the first episode. I think it's worth the watch if I just remember to do it.

Mert, I feel the same way about Paradise. It started out strong, then bombed for me. Yawn.

Now I need to check out Madison.

Yikes Madison....no just no.
Am a Michelle Pfeiffer fan, but could not get past the second episode.

on a related note, I drive through McDs often to get a large iced tea. I am a tea freak.
A lovely young man, early 20s works at the window.
Today I said " are you a fan of Breaking Bad?"
he said: "oh I know exactly what you are going to say! yes, I look like Jesse! everybody tells me that"

I subscribe to Amazon Prime. The monthly fee is reasonable for all of the benefits. The streaming offers tons of choices. It also offers PBS Masterpiece for a nominal fee including access to Britcoms and who-done-it’s, and many other foreign series as well as local interests, musical events, theater, and well done documentaries, news, and pop culture.

I’ve fallen in love with Italian series’ and a production company called Walter Presents. The cinematography is wonderful, the writing is good, and listening to native Italian and French is like listening to beautiful music. There’s no need for excessive blood and gore or overdone special effects because of the quality of the writing, direction, and acting. I feel closer to the human family and like I’ve been to these beautiful places after watching (you do have to be ok with subtitles).

Two of my faves so far are Lolita Lobusco (detective/police) set in the city of Bari, along the Adriatic Coast, and One Step From Heaven (Un Passo dal Cielo) set entirely in the majestic Tyrolean Dolomites. The writing is very good, there’s drama, mystery, crime, humor, humanity, the photography is breathtaking, and watching Daniele Liotta is quite a pleasure ;-)

PBS also has a free app, and you can stream at PBS.org. POTUS just defunded all that. Please donate if you can to keep it alive.

I watch a lot of PBS, not the show so much.. I watch the Ken Burns documentaries, and Antiques Roadshow, and SOME of the cooking shows on Create, and This Old House, I like the current crew.

I do give some, now and then, but they keep pressuring me to become a "sustaining member" but I don't have a predictable income, I don't want to get stuck in the same kind of situation I got into with that Firefighters charity I got into a few years ago, where they just keep taking your money, and the bank keeps letting them and then charging me extra for the privilege.
