DO NOT sign up with MarketForce- another person kicked off..

I have never had problems with Market Force and have been working for them for 6 years. I enjoy most of the shops and get calls every month for FF shops, just like others. I try to accommodate them as they are offering excellent bonuses. As someone said above, it is what it is, and with a "secret shopper" you sign a contract that allows them to drop you or you to drop them anytime - no questions asked.

I can understand your situation, I have an employee who is losing their sight and not only do they type in all caps, but their font is set to 22 point. I have had comments from others about her emails, and I explain her situation.
I know computer etiquette does infer that typing in all caps is tatamount to yelling, but sometimes there are extenuating circumstances, and I hope your schedulers also are aware of your situation and do not criticize you for this.
! shop per brand means, 1 per client. For instance we have a fuel company that uses MF now. Before I would sign up for 4 shops at their stations. Now with MF I can do only one shop for this company per rotation.

At least in a Windows based operating system you can hold down Control (CTRL) and press + to enlarge the font enough for you to be able to read it pretty much regardless of how large you need it. The text may be inconveniently falling off the screen but you do not need to use all caps. When you want to reduce the size back down, Control and - will do that for as small as you want. In this aspect, computers are a boon to anyone with impaired vision!
These people called me to do a special job for them because they had no one else nearby.. The deal was I'd do five jobs in five towns. From my home to the last job and home again was over 400 miles and about 11 hours all together. We agreed on $400.00 wich covered the jobs, the mileage and some of my time. When I was all done they refused to pay me saying I didn't make my post in time. The gas alone cost me over $250.00. Needless to say I don't work for them any more.
JF, regardless of your issues with MF, how could your gas "alone" cost $250? Over 400 miles - let's low-ball the mileage at 20 mpg put the gas at $3.50 a gallon. That's $70.....

Since you knew this would take 11 hours, why didn't you also work out a deal for when the reports would be due? If they were that desperate I think they would have worked with you.

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.
jfhuntsr why does this post sound remarkably similar to your first 2 posts back in September? For some reason back then it was 700 miles and only 4 shops. Things that make you go hmmmm.............

"I was called by Certified Field Associates (Market Force), they were in a real spot and needed help. They wanted me to do four jobs that required traveling over 700 miles. We agreed that they would pay me $400.00 for all four jobs. They were reluctant because I had never done a reset job, but they couldn't find anyone else. Two days later I went and did the jobs. Seventeen hours later and over $200.00 in gas, I finished the jobs. I had trouble with the web site and didn't understand some of it so my reports were screwed up. It was a week end so I thought it could wait. Wrong. They removed the jobs from the web site and now won't pay me because my reports are all wrong. That was three weeks ago. Do not trust these people."

Market Force dropped me for about a year, and then they put me back on after I asked them to. The problem was regarding CPIs which they said they had not received although I had faxed them to them (in some cases more than once). I bought a printer with a scanner so that I can now upload them to the website.

"Evolve thyself and lose all hate...." Orphaned Land
alannajm, you know that now you just need to type your name, right? No CPI upload is needed anymore. But it does move the receipts fast.
I have been suspened a couple of times. I then talked to a schedular and have been reistated. The only thing around me are FF places. I am paid on time and even earlier with DD.

Brak, I like you have never been deactivated yet am late due to illness at times. I call often and if they cannot reschedule, they simply cancel the shop or I cancel it. MF is one of the better mystery shopping companies out there. They have hundreds of opportunities in this area. If you check daily and all throughout the day, you can find many opportunities posted regularly. In addition, your pay is in your account on time each month.
cotepony, are you saying that other MSCs will cancel her for complaining? How many, which ones? If things happened the way that she says that it did then I would be skeptical about signing up with them.
I've done about 250 shops for MarketForce over the past 2 years, for fees totaling about $3000 plus reimbursements. Never had a problem with payment for any shop. I self-schedule and get phone calls for bonuses - I even call and arrange bonuses for shops I know they need done quickly or are out-of-town. I've cancelled shops, rescheduled, reported late on occasion.

Never been threatened with removal or been suspended during that time. Yes, occasonionally I get scheduled for the wrong day or the wrong fee, but I work that out with phone calls - the email Help Desk is pretty useless, especially for fee errors. But I always get the problem fixed before reporting. Back when they required a signed CPI, I'd just save the html of the page, add a graphic of my sig, then screen-shot the image. No scanner or printer needed.

But I know that one day, they will shut me down - likely for no reason I'll be able to see. They do that. That doesn't make them evil, perhaps a bit rude, but I'm not going to give up making a fair bit of change because of something that will happen one day.

They're far better and organized than 90% of the MS companies and they pay like clockwork. So DO sign up with MarketForce.

BTW, I use Firefox and it remembers the text size settings for each site, not sure if IE does this also. You can adjust it also by choosing View / Zoom and choosing what you want, in addition to Ctrl + and Ctrl -

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know this! It does make things much easier to read!
MarketForce is a great company to work for! It has a variety of great shops. Bonuses are generous and payment is reliable and quick.

NEVER had a problem with them.

I was informed in a grammar course that we use certain smooth-type fonts, and regular sentence cased words to enable ease of reading. All caps also signifies a very loud message on the Internet.

Eventually, MF dumps everyone. It hurts to be rejected, but that is how they do it. I'm glad that I have a heads up, so I can establish other opportunities. It actually hurts my feelings, and I haven't even been dumped, yet.

In the past, I have seen the very cold side of the company. I think it is probably due to the stress of micromanagement on the company's internal employees, and competition for top.

So sorry, rejection is so hard to do.
Change the view of zoom instead of typing all in caps.

Thanks for telling your story. I wont be signing up with this company!
I have had nothing but great experiences with MF. I just signed up for a FF shop that is paying $18. They pay on time and have a good variety of client companies. I have been able to sign up for multiple FF shops with the same client.

Yes but that could be 3 days or 3 years (that they might de-activate) and most likely never...

So why not enjoy the paycheck and the work in the meantime?

LOL NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT THAT WAY - STILL LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE YELLING - UNLESS YOU ADD LOTS OF LOLs - LOL
Market Force kicked me off the company too. I told them my code for signing in was wrong - it was not the last four digits of my social. The person I spoke with attempted to sign me in three additional times. I get an email from them stating that I applied four times with different socials and could not work for them because it appeared fruadulent. I tried to explain myself and stated that I was the one who called when I noticed the numbers were wrong and one of the Marketforce employees led me wrong by requiring me to keep signing in with different numbers. Market Force did not believe me and removed me from their shopper list.

Market Force wrongly removed me.
