Gooood Bye Gfk..

Im not sure what the holdup was on my end, but just a bit ago, I finally had to say good riddance to Gfk. Naturally wiping the tears from my eyes. I have put up with 2, I repeat 2 solid years of a bombardment of emails from these people.

On a bad day, no less then a dozen emails, on a good day maybe 7 or 8 mailings. I wouldn't have minded if these emails pertained to actual MS'ing or Merchandising that I could apply for to make a living. But no, the only offer I EVER got was for the crummy Electronics Store Audit that everybody speaks so highly of.

Ill admit, at one point I seriously considered signing up... after everything I have read.. glad I didn't.

So Gfk, I have to say good riddance. No more flooding my mail box.

Oh, and a big hello to everyone here. I didn't properly introduce myself. I have been MS'ing and Merchandising off and on again for about 2 years. I just recently started hitting it hard again. Glad to see some of the ol' faithfuls still out there. I was able to go right back to most of the companies I was with and start scheduling again. I've been fairly busy since late November, with shops almost every day!

Anyways, good to find like minded folks.

Welcome back to the crazy world of mystery shopping!

I hear you about the GfK emails - it's been discussed recently on the forum. I was the lucky recipient of 15 - yes, 15 - identical emails in a span of 1 hour. I'd ditch GfK but I actually like their shops and also like their quick pay cycle. Lucky for me, it's pretty easy to delete the shops and move on to the next offer. It still bothers me to be flooded like that but it seems like the company is aware but unwilling to change their ways.

Looks like it's "their way or the highway".
I got rid of them too for the same reasons. So annoying. Like maybe we never saw the previous emails and will suddenly realize that, "Wow! That looks like my kind of job!"
Honestly, I wouldn't have minded. But the only offer was the "audit" and thats it. I guess I was hoping my area would have something else. 2 years is enough for me. I can't imagine that changing.

Just the other day I received 7 emails, all exactly 2 minutes apart. That was the icing on the cake. Not to mention that the emails are vague, you have to sign in... I won't go on, I know im preach'n to the choir.

Yeah, I have read thru a lot of the threads pertaining to the various companies. That is a great tool. Its pretty easy to pick out the reliable companies, of course your mileage may vary. I realize that some folks have good shops, and others are let down all by the same company.

I was just glad I was able to get scheduling again. It was nice not to have to jump through the hoops for all the companies. Ill be honest, CoRI, Maritz, Consumer P., and Bare have all been keeping me busy.
Well I like some of their shops, but of late those herbalifeshops sound good but I just don't have the extra,( if there is such a thing as extra money), $100 to let lying around for a month waiting to be reimbursed.
Their generic "New shops in your area" email automatically gets diverted to my Gmail trash. But aside from their annoying emails, my experiences with GFK are all positive.

I will do the $150 mortgage phone shops as often as they assign them to me!
