GapBuster

I signed up with GapBuster and went through the orientation, but cannot use the Job Search page. No options are on the Area and State drop down boxes. Any suggestions? I have sent 2 enquiry emails to them, but no response.

If there are no jobs available, the drop down area will be blank. For example, in Ontario, if there are no jobs in Essex County, that county will not be in the drop down menu.
Thanks for the info. The drop down menu is blank even for the region, so I am not able to put in any search criteria at all. Does the system already know where I am from?
That means there is nothing available. Region is the first pull down box and if there is something there then you choose from within the selected region.
I don't believe they have had any jobs in the US since they stopped the fast food place about a year ago. Evidently there are still opportunities in Canada.
I have seen jobs in the US, not often, but I have seen them in 3 regions; Pacific, Northeast and Central are the regions if memory serves me correctly.
The restaurant they still shop has locations in NYC, Calif and Hawaii. They are expanding I think but where?? -------------------------------------------------------

That company has changed, they use to handle Fedex, UPS and also some restraunts, but when the market has changed so did they.
I was encouraged to reapply on line too. I've done all the tests they required me to do. I've gotten the marks they required of me, unfortunately I can't seem to work the job board either. It looks like there are a lot of opportunities where I'm from. I think they've dumped me. I can't get into my account like I used to. Have I been dumped? If I didn''t get 100% on the first try, does that mean something? Does everybody get 100% on the test first time out?
I don't think you have been dumped. I reapplied as well, just as the email instructed. I can't get the job board to work. Again, I sent a email through the contact us link. No reply.
Yes that sounds like what I'm going through. I sent a reply the first time and got a reply. I sent another reply and didn't get anything. I don't know what's going on.
Since my ears were burning I thought it was time to chime insmiling smiley I just signed up with them a few weeks ago. For at least a week after there were no jobs coming up on searches and I did not pass the test the first time. I finally got a shop and ended up not doing it because I could not get anyone to respond and tell me what store to visit and the numbers for the mall did not match anything. Eventually, long after the shop had become overdue, I did hear from them, they provided the info needed and I was able to perform the shop. From what is said on the forums they appear to have a lot of positive qualities. The job was great, the report was reasonable and the pay was good. Notice timely communication is not on that list.

I'm kind of afraid now to do work with them. If you had it to do over again would you work for Gapbuster?
Of course! They didn't hold it against me that the job became overdue. I had documentation of multiple attempts to reach them and they apologized and took full responsibility when they did get back with me. When it was finally straightened out the new date was actually to my advantage. From what has been posted on the forums they pay on time. I can live with the lack of communication if everything else comes togetherwinking smiley

Actually, I just heard from them. They say I'm cleared for one part and not the other. But I can take the certification again and try to pass it. I just have to figure out how to book something with them. I need to figure out how to choose dates on the job board. Is there any advice you can give me on how to do that?
Once you get to the job board it's a piece of cake. There's a drop-down where you pick your date. If I remember correctly you can also reschedule yourself. For me the hardest part was finding out which "region" they had me in. They have 9 regions and Missouri could have been in any one of 4, LOL!
