CRI Corporate Research International

What is your experience with this company? They are very strict with scheduling. If you want to change due to an emergency they don't seem to understand. I was quite surprised with the attitude of this scheudler.

CRI or CORI deals with lots of new shoppers. Because most shoppers do a few shops for them and then move on, they tend to be strict until they are having to bonus shops. Their value to the new shopper is that their training is really quite good for a brand new shopper (and a PITA for the experienced shopper). They also pay in a timely manner, which is overall pretty quick. That is especially valuable to the new shopper because that lag between the first shop and the first pay leads many to wonder if this is all a scam. The other value of CORI to the new shopper is that you aren't out a whole lot of money if a shop is rejected and if you screw up so badly they terminate you, they are not a company you will miss in the long run.

I am still in good standing with CORI, though I think it has probably been three years or so since I did a job for them. The shops in my area are snatched at their original offer price which just never ceases to amaze me.
I've had very good experience with the company. I've been shopping since 2009 and have done quite a bit of work for CRI. I can remember asking for two schedule changes since late 2009. Once when I was ill, they moved three shops to a day later without a problem. Another time, I was snowed in and couldnt get out to shop, and they cancelled three shops without penalty. I wanted to reschedule to the next week, but the scheduler said she couldn't move them that far out and would have to relist them. Although your experience in this case may not have been the best, I encourage you to try to work through it. They post a tremendous amount of work, and they are quick and reliable with payment.

Yes I do not understand why people will do their shops either. Many of their shops pay 5 or 6 dollars each and on top of that they have attitude if you make a mistake or ask for a date change. They didn't use to be this way. Actually they seemed nicer in the past. As a result, I have decided to end my relationship with this company.
I haven't chosen to end my relationship, I just am not currently working with them. There was one company owner who came onto the forum and claimed that industry wide 75% of new shoppers flake on jobs and 30% of experienced shoppers flake. While I find these numbers very suspect, certainly CORI would have a higher proportion of them, I suspect, than other companies in the industry. One can understand the frustration of being a scheduler in such circumstances but one can also recognize that letting that frustration show in attitude is counter productive. If they are going to be unpleasant to try to reschedule or deal with, I'm sure they will boost their flake average as shoppers just walk away from the work.
Some of their shops pay extremely well for the time taken to be completed. They r consistent, pay fast and do not expect a novel. I just take the shops I think r worth my time. Wish there were more companies like them.
Correct. In some markets the shops are not immediately snagged and can grow to good paying jobs with the bonuses required to get them done. It completely depends on your competition in your market.

I couldn't agree more. They pay a large chunk of my MSing money each month. I would never deactivate from them. Quick shops and nice fast pay, love them.

I've done the recliner shop a few times when it was highly bonused, but I don't have a clue what you mean about a gift certificate. There is no purchase involved, which makes me even more confused. tongue sticking out smiley
For each shop I have done for them I have received a considerable gift certificate emailed to me (on top of the payment). I have several now. Just wonder if anyone has used one.

Wow Kalifini you must be special winking smiley I haven't ever gotten a gift certificate for these.

So, to understand better...CRI is emailing you a gift certificate in case you would like to make a future purchase???
I've done a few highly bonused motion and non-motion shops, but don't know anything about a gift certificate either. Never received one. Was it from the client or Cori?

Yes. It is a logo'd client gift certificate that says issued by the MSC. It comes as a second email immediately after I get the scored acceptance one.

Maybe it's something new. Are you supposed to use it during the shop? I haven't done one in quite awhile.

That's not something I have seen/received either. You ARE special, kalfini! smiling smiley It might be difficult to use with the MSC name on it, though ...
I play the waiting game and when the compensation gets to be reasonable, I will work for them. On the plus side, they do pay like clockwork.
