Market Force

I just wanted to mention the name to see if I get things thrown at me or if anyone has great things to say.

I like the Fistfull of Fellows burger shops. Just took one for next weekend.

Regarding MF itself, I think they are okay, and I think they serve an important and useful role in the MS world. They're entry-level. Everyone's gotta start somewhere, and many of us (including me) started there. MF makes it simple and straightforward for newbies to get their feet wet. That's valuable and important I think.

Agrees with Dagosto.

They actually have a photo audit that I thoroughly enjoy picking up. I've written and requested to let me know if they get any more. I did receive a nice email back that they would do so. It couldn't have been a canned response, because the person who wrote back to me actually referenced several particular photos of 2 different audits. They were pleasant at least about it.

I've also had to cancel and/or reschedule during the time I've shopped with them. Never had a problem doing so. One of the first shops I did I was late on the report and I did receive a snarky email. Understandable. However, we had just spent the past 30 hours at a Native American burial for my adopted dad. Even though I ran in and did the shop before we went to the service, like hell I was going to get the report in. After we came home from the Rez, I sent them an equally snarky email saying that I thought the burial was more important, it lasted from Sundown to two hours after Sunrise, I was going to bed and I would send in the report AFTER I got back up.

I got the most pleasant, apologetic and kind email back from them.

I know I will eventually get deactivated from them, at least according to what has happened to a lot of people who reach 500 or 1000 shops with MF, but for now, they serve a purpose - filling in for other shops. Plus, it helps that I love their reports. If only other MSC's could be so easy! LOL!

I like Market Force and have never had a problem working with them or getting paid.
Me too! I have never had a problem and do many shops for them.
I like them. Fairly simple, upfront shops and usually very easy reports. I have never had a payment problem with them. They have overpaid me on several shops - please don't tell them! I think it was a glitch in their system and each time I did that paticular type shop I got an extra $5.00. Unfortunately they stopped overpaying me on them a few months ago.

r@iny....please say it is not true!!!! I keep hearing about that and I think I will cry the day that happens.....or change my name, get a new SS# and re-apply...LOL!

I like this company. I started out with them and they have always treated me well.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
I can always count on MF to have some shops available near me, and they pay like clockwork! The paperwork is never too ridiculous and I like being able to reschedule myself if need be.
Spaztck,

If you read some of the very long threads about Market Force, you will see that the deactivation eventually happens. No one really knows the way this company drops its shoppers, there's no "formula" anyone has figured out. So, I plan on the "500" number.

Also -

I'm upset by this, not angry upset, just upset.

Please don't keep money that was mistakenly paid to you. Ethically, morally, well, yes, you have to do what is right for you - but I guess it just really strikes me wrong. It saddens me to think that shoppers do this - and then come on the forum and say they do.

Call me dumb or naive, but our individual integrity is what makes a shopper; I'm just really upset about it.

Schedulers and companies DO talk to each other and make posts about shoppers. I received this notice from a scheduler: "I have left positive feedback for you on MS Trust Mystery Shopper Rating System on the Mystery Shopping Solution's website." How much weight that carries, dunno, but it was nice to receive it.

I do about 10 or 15 shops for them a month, always paid correctly and on schedule. Their reports are usually pretty straight-foward.
Actually there is no "formula" for getting canned..

I talked with an MF scheduler the other day and this person said that they do not can people for no reason.

He said habitual lates, no shows or poor reports will get you canned...
I have just had a problem with Market Force and I am wondering if this is just the way Market Force operates or if I have some recoarse. I was directed to the Houston Airport by the documentation and a specific restaurant (Restaurant #1) The paperwork idetified the concoarse and said that Restaurant #1 was right next to restaurant #2 as a landmark. It said I had to order an entree and a appetizer (R#1) from the wait staff. It said I could order at the bar if there wasn't a dinning area. I sat in the dinning area and the only server in this open area of the concoarse was the bartender and he never came over so I went to the bar. I ask for a menu and he said all he had was a cocktail menu. I told him "I was told that this place had food." He said "we don't have a kitchen If you like, I don't mind going over to restaurant (#2) and getting something for you." I am not going to turn in a receipt from a restaurant that is not the one I am told to shop, so I left and sent a note to the Market Force help folks. After some 15 minutes I wasn't willing to waste any more of my time so I left. Later MarketForce responded that I should have let him go to the different business next door. There was not one mention of this on anything in the documentation. Ofcourse I am just out my time and expense. Is this typical of Market Force?

I think that was really absurd of them to say. Naturally if a shopper goes to a restaurant and there is no food, they'd never think to have the server go to another place for it.
Unfortunately I doubt you'll be paid anything, but you could email them back regarding the fact the paperwork made no mention of the advice they gave you.
