Message to Julie Bishop

Julie,

Since you or the accounting department have not answered my last 10 emails, I am hoping you still read this forum and will see this message.

I just want to remind you what you wrote to me on March 19:

Hi Jane, I just heard back from accounting and unfortunately the client did not get this shop through their system in time for the March cycle due to the sample reading. But it is on the cycle for April and they start this cycle mid month so I am expecting you will see your check before the end of April. I hope I was of help to you, regards,

This is what you wrote to me on March 20:

Hi Jane, thank you for your response. I have you down on my open case query list so I will also track this. But please drop me an email when the check arrives so that I may close this out, thanks!

Here is what you posted on this very forum on March 19:

GOLDL - I am on your request, and I mean big time. I have put in a special request in this case as everything is in order and I myself will keep a personal eye on this over the next week. I am not sure what happened here but you have my PERSONAL assurance I am on this. Sassie error or people error, I guarantee personally I will get this sorted out for you immediately. Please email me right away at jbishop@franchisecompliance.com.

Just wanted to make sure that you are still "on my request big time" and that you are keeping a "personal eye" on it. Also, do I still have your "PERSONAL assurance" that your on this? Do you still "guarantee personally" that you will get this sorted out for me immediately?

Julie, it's April 24 and I still don't have my reimbursement check.

I deactivated myself after I read all the posts in the other thread. I had a shop assigned and for some reason, felt I just did not want to complete it, so I had it cancelled. BOY, am I glad I did!

I wouldn't touch this company with a 11-foot pole.

Heck, I wouldn't touch this company with the V-God's pole.

what portion of business contract violations do you find silly? payments within the contracted due dates? you should take the law more seriously. and it's obvious that you stray away from these forums as displayed by the disconnectedness you exhibit between you and your shoppers.

> I have tried
> to help each and every shopper who has emailed me
> looking for a shop payment.

business contract law requires more than trying. it means fulfilling the payment contracts within the represented time periods to avoid illegal misrepresentation of the corporation. you are indeed a corporate representative, and therefore legally responsible via affiliated representation.

> Some were misplaced

we are not remotely concerned with the 1-10% of non-payments that were due to shopper error. we are rather concerned with the 90% of non-payments referenced on this forum which directly reflected corporate misrepresentation.

> As for all other

what types of threats are you referring to? i had sent a legal warning and it was promptly responded to.

> Any shopper who contacts the client
> directly will have his/her shop excluded and there
> is nothing I can do to help from that point on.

although i had contacted the client directly, my shop had not been excluded. you may not be in direct communication with your clients. they already know what's going on, and shoppers continue to contact them directly referencing your misrepresentation. it is virtually the norm at this point.

> And requesting reimbursement before a shop is
> performed is about the silliest thing I have ever

and misrepresentation of payment dates is even sillier. nonetheless, there are non-silly remedies.

> And lastly, whoever suggested the idea
> that everyone should apply for shops at the end of
> the month and then get everyone to flake needs to
> no longer perform shops.

now who's griping? every forum member here is in unity. you're the only one out of sync here.

> I am a scheduler, and

> help shoppers.

we're not tying you up. we simply prefer to motivate you to comply with business contract laws.

> It will also get you excluded
> pretty quickly.

excluded from what? getting recruited for more non-payed shops? laughable.

> And lastly, if your email has not
> been responded to, send it again. I receive over
> 1,000 emails a day.

you're either very popular (or more likely infamous) or you don't know how to manage your spam folder. have you considered a new email address?

> Lately I must admit I have
> been a little tardy in responding to everyone -

are you now suggesting that you're going to respond to everyone? that's news to the rest of us.

> I am just returning from maternity leave and still
> trying to get caught up. Regards, Julie Bishop

you were not in timely pace with contracted payment requirements even prior to maternity leave. and now you suggest that you're going to get caught up now that you've fallen even more behind? don't blame the baby. blame the corporation.

please don't use all caps. it is considered shouting. did you read the forum guidelines? they are much like shop guidelines. no shortcuts here please.

> I am
> trying to help you people.

and we are trying to help you. we have noticed that you require help.

> I have put in many
> special requests.

all of these shoppers have put in requests to simply be paid. and all payment requests are special.

> YES, I am aware of payment
> issues. Believe me, I am MORE than aware of
> payment issues.

yes, this thread, along with others, has alerted you to these payments issues, we're sure. we're glad to point these issues out for the sake of your awareness.

> I REALLY WISH the client read
> these threads lol.

the client has already read these threads. they're way ahead of you. you're the only one who's arrived late here.

> We are doing everything in our
> power, I just wish to reiterate we are doing what
> we can.

that won't be enough. basic legal compliance to contract law is prefered.

> I SUGGEST everyone read SteveSoCal's post
> once again. This economy has hurt every one of us
> and then some.

the economy did not authorize your misrepresentation of payment timeframes.

> But please rest assured, the
> company is doing everything in its power to

you have inspired anything but assured rest among your contractors.

> I will give you my PERSONAL
> ASSURANCE right now, all shop payments due WILL BE

you have not displayed this authority in the past. rather, you just recently suggested that you were merely making 'special requests' as you called them to a higher corporate authority. are you now again suggesting that you represent the corporate authority?

> I don't threaten, I TELL IT LIKE IT IS.

you tell it like it was perhaps. but not how it currently is. and again, stop shouting with all caps. it sounds threatening.

> Again, I am trying to help you people.

too little, too late, 'you person'.

> Would you
> rather I just stop posting to let you know what is
> going on?

we were already telling you what's going on. you arrived late to the party, and are just learning of it now.

> Just let me know.

let you know what? to stop posting? that sounds like a threat. you can run away if you like, but we'll still be her waiting for you to poke your nose in again. unless you decide to lurk in the background instead before your next appearance.

> All other complaints on here from what I can see

my account has always been fully updated. i haven't moved for 20 years throughout the duration of my mortgage.

of course not. it's entirely subconscious.

> This is why i HATE forums.

and perhaps why some forums may appear to hate you.

unless you use ALL CAPs like this.

> I was trying to explain to everyone I
> will help out however I can.

you're suggesting that you have authority to help? do you have authority or don't you? you were making assurances before that the payments would be made. but it hasn't happened yet.

> I just want each and every one
> of you to know I stand by Franchise Compliance and
> will personally guarantee your shop payments.

you're offering a personal guarantee? just write personal checks to the shoppers then. your employer will pay you back within 90 days.

> If I couldn't offer this guarantee, I wouldn't be

glad to hear. we've made progress.

> I am a mystery shopper myself and believe

are you suggesting that franchise compliance hasn't paid you either? yes, that has got to be quite frustrating.

> I have been doing

not 30 years of contracted business payment misrepresentation, we hope?

> By the way, check out our

sure thing. will we be reimbursed $3000 for the cruise? the economy has been hit hard recently. but if franchise compliance is handing out free cruises, count me in.

sign me up. i'm in. winking smiley i've just submitted my shop requests.
So...aside from the betrayal and lies I caught a little funny. No not impossible, but definitely not the norm in today's society.

She says she has been doing this for over 30 years....lets guess she started when she was 18.

She just had a baby and got off maternity leave. So wouldn't that possibly put her at over 48 years old. 18 (starting age) + over 30 years work experience = 48.

Like I said, not impossible definitely not the norm.

Gonna be shopping for a prom dress at 64 or boy scout camping at 60? Good luck with that. Praying that the 30 was a typo.

Julie,

An invoice is not a "threat". An invoice is a bill for services rendered. What don't you get about this???
I think that there are going to be some shoppers dressing up like Julie Bishop this Halloween?

Re: Julie Bishop thread...

I'm sitting in a parking lot outside a McD's off I-70, "borrowing" their WiFi (I can't see another FF product) and trying to Google a shop address that is wrong, wrong, wrong in my Garmin Nuvi.

Thank you all so much for providing a little bit of amusement on a hot, frustrating day. This thread is endlessly entertaining. Especially since I misread vince's post above as...

"... she claims that the baby was stealing the payments."

This is the ONLY MSC to refuse to pay me in my 9+ yrs. in the business. The entire gang at this company is, in my opinion, completely devoid of the slightest understanding of ethics.
I have not been paid by FC for a carpet cleaning shop I did in December. Since I had been paid for the same shop that I did four out of the five previous years, I did not bother to check the forum for the company not reimbursing shoppers.

After reading the forum, I checked the following items.

1. I looked at my email and address in my profile. It is the same that it has been for the last six years. So the address can not be an issue for not being paid.

2. The shop had a grade of a 10 on it and even had excellent comments inside the box. So the work I performed was not an issue.

Since the above are the majority of the reasons why someone would not get paid or reimbursed, shouldn't I have been paid for this already?

The question is, why haven't I been paid? Who from FC will step up and answer this question.

Forget about the economy. That isn't an answer. What about the shopper who has to front this money expecting to be paid for work completed five months ago?
