Legitimate Assignment?

There's a post in my area for someone to distribute brochures in a brochure-holding stand within a particular route for $210. It was posted on ShadowShopper and I have been contacted regarding completing this in lieu of someone who "flaked" on the assignment. Sounds simple enough - I received an email that included a link to a site that allows you to enter the locations at which you dropped off the brochure holders. Anyone else ever complete an assignment like this?

as long as their not asking you for money, it looks good. More like a merchandising assignment

I've seen assignments like that, but without knowing what company is offering them it's hard to say if this particular job is legit. If it is a company that we all know and you were contacted through a legitimate source then you should be okay.

I think it depends on how many locations you have to do for that money. If it's one or two, I'd say it was questionable. I've done the merchandising shops where you check displays and the pay is one tenth of that per location.
I thought the ones I saw were in the $7 to $10 per location range. Since these were flaked on a reasonable bonus could be expected, but the emphasis should be on the word "reasonable."

It's requiring a lot of locations, so it seems legit. I just always get a bit wary when I get a non-company sponosored email - this person's email address was a gmail account. Paperwork & link seemed legit, but paperwork also asks for my ss#, so I figured I'd check here. I stated I would give her the completed paperwork once I receive the materials (the brochures and holders).
Who's the MSC? Can you contact them directly through their site?
