Market Force -- is this real?

A reliable MS told me great things about Market Force. I went to the MSPA Member Companies page, found the link to Market Force Information and got a broken link. It doesn’t work.

I found the Market Force (MF) page webpage through Google. The MF page warns of scams using variations of the Market Force name. It specifically warns of pages that “include a Customer Service Evaluation Form or a “Customer Service Evaluation Tool.” Okay.

I followed their link Become A Mystery Shopper, which took me a secure site that says Lead With Intelligence, Enroll Now, etc. THIS PAGE does have https in the URL; plus you can right click the page to see it DOES have a valid security certificate.

But when you click Enroll Now, you get toa page that immediately asks for email and date of birth. THIS NEW PAGE also looks secure, has the padlock, has https, has a valid security certificate.

There are 7 “steps” to fill out. It asks for SSN, job history, references and direct deposit info (routing number, account number). After another page, I get an error message that says I timed out.

So I re-logged via that Enroll Now page (still secure), saw that all of my previous info had been retained, got to a page that asked me to answer 3 questions about a recent customer experience. Then I got a new error message that that the site has technical difficulties and to please try later.

So… despite the secure site indicators, was that a scam?

Aaaaaargh.

I just used the link here and did not have any problems. The pages I accessed were secure and the start of the process is just what you saw.

There are links for most of our companies on the MSPA website, here and on the other forum, Volition.com. If one does not work, try another. IMHO, trying to Google the company should be a last resort.

They ask for your birthdate first and then, if you later lie about the year you were born in the application process, they abort your application.
And you know this from experience? LOL!

There are many opions of Marketforce. Personally, my wife and I have done many shops for them and have never had a problem. Their instructions are clear and they pay on time. However, there are other shoppers that hate them.
I ask you to look at ALL the threads about Marketforce. While its not a scam company but just the posts from various shoppers from all walks of life and all over the nation, on THIS board alone, should give you more than a handful of hints to form your own opinion about this MSC.
I work for MF a great deal, in fact I used to be a scheduler when they were Certified Reports of Kinderhook NY. Like all companies you have to pick and choose your jobs. I have found out that they have an affliate from the Phillipines even tho the # comes up California. Those people have no clue. But the company in whole is good and pays when they say.
What do you want to know?

One good plan for dealing with Marketforce. Get to know the area codes of the schedulers who are working from home. Mostly, 770's and 678's. The schedulers who work from home do go into the central office for trainings and meeting and sometimes call from there, but are generally at home.

Nothing against the outsourced folk, but they don't have the same idea of geography. It's also odd trying to explain to someone who earns half a pittance why I will not drive an hour for a $5 bonus. They also read from a script and cannot answer questions beyond what's on the CPI.

Not from experience. I gave my real birth date. Afterwards, it warns about not giving your correct birth date.

Thank you.

I worked for certified reports before myself. Recognize that address Kinderhook, NY!

What happened to them Carrie?
@ carrie

how do you get hold of the scheduler or auditor.

The emails i send to the "help" desk are never turned over to them, I've discovered.

Got a phone call from someone who had never received email. Hate not having name or email or contact for actual scheduler or auditor.

Sending to the only address they give is sending to a black hole from which nothing ever comes of it.
