Last night I did two gas station audits for CORI and they are the first two I have done for them. Of course these would be the first shops I've ever had a problem with, and the stations are 45+ minutes from home.

I got caught in the rain for the first one, and my initial receipt is about 90 minutes before I did the gas and audit portion. Now I'm seeing "You can't go back and take the pictures later." I did note this in the "comments."

The rain got my Letter of Authorization wet and ruined it and I failed to bring extra copies, so I had employees of both stations sign the same one. This was noted as well.

On the second one, I somehow missed getting a picture of one pump, and a picture for each pump is required.

Lastly, I failed to remember that CORI is due 6 hours after shop and/or at midnight Eastern. All of the other ones I work with are at least 12 hours. The first shop was done at about 6:30 pm and I finally uploaded it at about 4:30. I'm in Central time so that's 5 hours past midnight, and it was submitted 10 hours after the shop.

I'm still working on the second one but it's going to be about the same.

What do you guys think? Will they show mercy on me for my first two shops?

To make matters worse, I had two shops that were to be done on Sunday but I had to go home unexpectedly for kid reasons, so those two have been reassiged to today (Tuesday). So I look like a piece of crap to them, when in reality, every other one I've done has gotten a 9/10 or 10/10 (for the ones I can see the grades).

Don't worry about the report deadline, that will not bite you.

It's hard to say what will happen with the authorization letters. Stuff happens and as long as they are signed, my guess is they will be okay.

I don't understand what you are saying about the receipt. Did you actually leave and go back or was the time on the register off? If it was their register, you did the right thing by noting that in the report.

That was all the good news. The bad news, they will not accept the report with a picture missing and they will not let you go back for one picture. The expectation will be for you to complete the entire audit again and there is that date/time stamp that shows when you there If the shops were scheduled for yesterday, they will remain in your queue and won't be removed until tomorrow at 11 am CORI time. If you feel the need to reschedule the missing photo shop, just call them and they are usually accommodating.

the few times ive done ones that require the letter for them, I've forgotten to upload the letter on more then one occasion, and never received a request to upload the letter and received a "5" on all 3 of them.

Shows how important the letters are...

CORI are pretty unforgiving when it comes to the pictures. I don't like your chances and they're tough with their rating too. If you can go back and re-do the shop then I would do it because you don't want to not be able to get jobs from them in the future.

So it turns out that one of them is the wrong gas station. :/ I live out in farm world and there's roads with names like "State Highway YY" and "MO-W" and sometimes the GPS gets confused. I didn't notice that the GPS had changed the address and it just so happened there was the right brand gas station there and I forgot to verify the address with an employee (I hadn't even printed out the addresses, just went by the GPS - learned my lesson!!) and shopped the wrong one. Grrrr! Only $15, not a fortune, but still...

The other one, the one where I had bought the soda and the gas 90 minutes apart and was worried, was fine. Isn't the top grade a 5? This is a 5, but how come some are graded 1.5? Are some areas weighted higher than others?

if you have a gps that is capable of it(tomtom brands are) download all of the that gas station brands locations into your gps. Will make it much easier in the future and eliminate confusion. Same for any major chain.

The individual ratings add up to 5 and 5 is the highest score. Good luck finding someone who has ever gotten below that It seems as long as your report is accepted, you will get the highest score.
