Can you all help me?

I'm having a problem with an MSC. I did two hardware stores for them and they voided my shops but they won't give me an explanation as to why. I have talked to 3 people but they won't tell me anything. Has anyone ever had this happen to you? I'm not trying to whine but I'm new at this and believe it or not you all are my 'go to' people for advice and pep talks! :-)

What company are you talking about? Since you have not mentioned a specific client you can mention the MSC.
Is this the one where you ask for something in each department? I had one voided for not sticking to the list of items, I didn't realize we were limited to that list and I asked about a related item. But, they sent me an email very clearly spelling out my mistake and chewing me out for it!

The company is Corporate Research International and I love working for them but I'm hoping that I'm not fired and they just won't tell me. :-(

No, you are not whining. Of course you would want help on this.

Yes, please name the company.
Did you shop the right department? Not trying to be judgmental at all, but there were several times a last minute check in the store parking lot saved my rear from that fate. If you got all the information for the form, that is the only thing I can come up with at this point.

Yes, I shopped the right department and I got the names of the 6 employees, and I made a purchase. I would feel better if they would just tell me what I did wrong but all of the people that I have spoken to say that they don't see anything wrong.

I've never had them not send an e-mail about an issue rather than just invalidating the shop. It is odd. I've had instances where two employees had the same name and I didn't notice until time to enter the report. The first time it generated an e-mail, but they gave me the opportunity to get it cleared up.

I can't believe that not a soul there can come up with a reason for you. If they are not seeing anything wrong, how can it be thrown out. Have you called or just relied on Chat and/or e-mail? Try calling the scheduler and just tell her you need to know what was wrong so you don't make the same mistake in the future. I'm not saying you did make a mistake, that just sounds less confrontational and may generate a more positive response. At one time they also had somewhat of a shopper advocate, that may be the next step.

I agree with Lisa. A phone call to the scheduler may be in order, especially since you have been tolkd that nothing was wrong. I think that you are handling this in a professional manner.

Thanks for the responses you all, I have spoken with 3 schedulers and none of them have been able to help me with this. I even asked to be unassigned from a shop until I can get this cleared up.

That sounds reasonable.

Could this be a technical glitch? Would it be possible to find out WHO voided your shop? If you know who did it, you can at least try to get an answer from the horse's mouth. (If CORI doesn't pay you for the shops and can't/don't give you a reason, then they are acting like another part of a horse's anatomy.)

I was thinking that maybe it was a technical glitch because I had two shops with different locations but the same job number. And lastly, I am scheduled for some more shops and they are still there.

Thanks again you all for your reponses I love this board!

Let us know what happens. I like CORI, but it has been more difficult the last couple of years. They have some great schedulers who are more overworked than they used to be.

Well so far nothing, my jobs are still on my history but I asked her to take one down because I don't want to do it until this situation is resolved. I've gotten no email or anything to tell me what I may have done wrong.

I opt for a system error as well.
I love those jobs and in my town they arrive easily to $40-50. Unfortunately my wife has worked for that store for the past 12 years sad smiley
I proposed her to quit so we can shop it LOL winking smiley

Pammie - Did you go on the right days?

Do your shop times match up with your receipts?

Is this the first time you've done this shop, or have you done it successfully in the past?

Did your reports go in on time?

Did you get confirmation numbers?

When you did the SSIs, did you follow the guidelines and write a detailed report in the comment section about the SSI? The sSI is much more detailed in the comments than the other interactions. Then, at the end they want more details in the last comment section.

It's not like them to not notify you that there was a problem with the report(s) and give you an opportunity to fix the problem(s).

Also, there are not supposed to be two jobs with the same job number. What's up with that? Was that two hardware centers, or two totally unrelated clients?

It was two hardware centers, same owner. I think that was strange as well. But no one seems to know what is going on. You all don't know how much I appreciate all of your input. I really like working for this company and I would hate to get fired (who wouldn't?) I do everything by the book and I stayed up late with the reports I think that if there was something wrong with a report that they would just tell me.

Two jobs with the same ID is a red flag. It definitely sounds like an issue on their part.

Thanks Lisa, that's makes me feel a lot better :-)

Pammie - I'm with Lisa on this. You are not supposed to get two jobs with the same numbers. Please get on general chat in the morning and talk with someone about this. Keep us posted.

Not sure if you confirmed it was CORI or was it Beyond H? Different stories. BH was assigning you to 2 even if you did not apply for them. I declined.

No, that's not the situation here.

You need to call them. It is much quicker. 419-422-3196

I have called, the receptionist is real sweetheart! I'm going to try to stop dwelling on it, I have much bigger problems that I could be obsessing about.

Thanks for all of the support you all :-)

Pammie,
I have had this happen twice. Where a shop goes RED in the history. I call in to them, ask for the scheduler for that shop, and half the time they are able to track down what happened, if it was your mistake, they will usually let you fix it, if it is their mistake, they will fix it.
There are some times that the time period is up on the shops, so they can't let you fix it, but they will if the time period is good and the error is small.

Thanks for your response, I don't think that my scheduler likes me :-(

I'm going to wait and see how this plays out, my other two shops are still there and no one can tell me what I did wrong. The money is not enough for me to stress over but I loved the company and they way that they pay!

Then ask to be removed from those two shops if you don't want to do them anymore. Don;t just flake, because later if you try to get jobs, it can score against you more than asking to be removed from the jobs.

Thanks for the advice, one of the shops I have to go to anyway tomorrow for myself so I'm going to do the shop and turn it in. I haven't heard a thing from any of the people at the office telling me not to go so I'm going to just take my chances :-)
