Is Goodwin and Associates Redeeming Themselves?

I know there are been past posts about Goodwin and Associates being late payers. I might have been one of them. But ever since I wrote an e-mail directly to E. Goodwin and "bonded" over Patriots football talk, I have been getting paid much quicker and without having to contact them first.

Prior to June payments, it usually took 80-something to 90-something days to get paid for my shops. Post E. Goodwin e-mail, my June payment took 69 days. My four July shops took 58, 58, 60, and 56 days. And they paid me automatically without my monthly "friendly" reminder.

Is everyone getting paid quicker these days? Or is it just me?

I hope it's not just you. It's pretty sad if you are getting paid faster because of the football "bonding."

Even if they are paying everyone faster, I don't think they will have redeemed themselves until they have at least caught up on ALL late payment, hopefully without shoppers having to remind them or beg.
My experience is that they are doing better, too.

I had to remind them of a payment and a gift card recently. The payment was in Paypal within 36 hours and the gift card mailed to me within a few days.

They even paid me for a shop without me asking. I think, little by little they're cleaning up their act.

I actually really like working for Goodwin. They have several great local restaurant shops, and other than having to remind them to pay when due, have been extremely easy to work with.

I recently got helo from a friendly scheduler (Coast to Coast scheduling) with a problem I had (I submitted some photos too large) and she cleared it all up. So I'm impressed with them, lately.
I have given them up, I HATE beggging for my money....and that was the story EVERY time...
I have been getting paid much quicker also. In the past, I always had to send something to them about late payments. I did notice that the 2 payments I received recently were from shops in the SASSIE system.
I sincerely believe if they have improved on their pay cycle it is because everybody here slammed Freeman, so now Goodman and the MSPA social club now realize that the shoppers have collectively bonded together and mean business....

Goodman has some very appealing clients, but I still refuse to work for them due to their unethical behavior regarding shop payments.
I think so for the first time I did not need to email them to follow up payment.

It is like getting kicked by a donkey. Once you have been kicked you think twice about repeating the process. I like some of the shops. You have to consider it a discount, as Goodwin never pay for your partner even though they require that you have a partner accompany you.

Shoppers who dine at the fine dinning venues are not those shoppers who read the menu from right to left (looking at the price first). Those that read menus from left to right appreciate the experience, the roaring fire place, the fine wines, the service for which you tip about what you might pay for dinner and tip at an Applebee's.

We can afford to wait months for reimbursement, but why should we? We offered our service and expect to be paid in a timely dignified manner. We are not expecting a $10 reimbursement from a fast food shop. There is often over $100 that is owed. Goodwin expects that we being busy people might forget about the money. We can enjoy that level of dinning because we were organized and businesslike and pursue that which is owed to us.

Of course there are some shoppers that will save a shop like that to celebrate a special occasion. They do not have the money but with half off they dress in their "Sunday best" and wander into "fine dinning". You can spot those shoppers come from the "other side of the tracks" and are celebrating in a venue above the Applebees or TGIF they are accustomed to. I am a people watcher I notice those things. It is part of the "entertainment". They cannot afford the 90 day float and act like Goodwin is attempting to steal their money. I am sure Goodwin is hoping people will give up and forgetaboutit!

I have not taken a Goodwin shop in a few years. I am waiting for Goodwin to stop the excuses and pay when due. 90 days is a long "float" for the money but if you can not afford it you should not take the job. Abuse of the 90 day "float" is not acceptable. It is a matter of trust. They have to prove themselves. I have to see happy report not hesitant reports before I accept a Goodwin shop.
Goodwin is attempting to pay quicker (I.E. no longer 90 days) AND without being prompted to. They shop a place I go to regularly anyway, so I figured I'd try them again. We'll see
I still have to ask, but after I do, payment comes very quickly. At this point, as soon as the 60 day mark hits, I email.
Is it even possible for you to be any more full of yourself?

BTW, did you recently change your user name? The writing style is oddly reminiscent of another poster.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.
