I was ready to sign the Independent Contractor (IC) Contract until I read this paragraph: Upon termination of this Contract IC shall not directly or indirectly enter into or engage in indirect or direct competition with Impact Mktg in the video mystery shopping/survey business (including, but not limited to, It's A Mystery, Inc., Impact Marketing, Buyer's Reality, and Reality Check) either as an individual on his/her own or as a partner or joint venture, ......... for a period of three (3) years....

Does this mean if my IC Contract is terminated, I can't video shop with Reality Check, etc.?

It sounds like a standard non-compete clause designed to prevent an IC from opening a MSC.
