Offering less bonuses? How is that possible unless they just stop completely, LOL! I have gotten some really good bonuses in the past, but they are far and few between.

Just beware (not that you may care) they "deleted" me when I made a similar comment a few years ago.....
I love it when places tell you that you have to take the jobs at regular price now because they aren't offering bonuses anymore so you just need to deal with it...ummm no...you need to figure out if that works for you. Another company did that a few years ago...I think it lasted until mid January. I, too got deleted from Bestmark a few years ago and I have absolutely no idea aside from the fact that I had to cancel a job for them because I walked in the store and the next door neighbor had just started working for them! I had no idea!
They call here all the time for my husband (who shops on occasion) to do a restaurant that they have trouble filling. He can't really do it anymore very often because he took a rotating shift job and that just doesn't work for him time wise. I, on the other hand could do those shops for them all the time. I sent an email asking why I was deactivated twice but no reply. Oh well. Some day my husband says he is going to flat out say you know my wife is a way better shopper than I am but you won't let her take them. Lol

I tried to do one for Bestmark and found someone I knew from a club was selling there. I had to disqualify myself from the shop. They've called me many times trying to get me to do the same shop. I tried to find out when she was working so I could go a different day but before I could find out (she still hasn't answered my email) it disappeared from the board so I guess they got someone else to do it.
I don't know if she realized I was shopping her that day or what, but I sent an email asking if they were hiring, just to open a dialogue with her, and she never replied.

I haven't done an assignment for BestMark in forever. The fees kept getting lower, bonuses were non-existent, and the assignment parameters required extensively long visits. It was just so not worth it, especially for the big electronics store assignments.

BM is going down hill here also. I guess their draconian penalty charges did not improve their product.

I did 3 shops for them this month. There's a 4th I could do, but I told them I'd need $10-12 to help with the petrol, a 100 mile round trip with nothing else along the way. That shop is still begging and is supposed to be done by Friday. If they ask me now if I can do it, going to have to tell them sorry but I've got 3 jobs in another part of the state and can't work it into a route.

Gas must be way cheaper where you are bec for 100 miles it would take more then $10 for me to do it.....

They hadn't called me in months and months. Yesterday they did and offered a new car shop at the regular rate. It is a 30 minute drive each way without holiday traffic. When she heard that, she backed off and was quite understanding, just not enough to offer a bonus.

I think your sig line also applies to the usefulness of the MSC reports that are created. I can think of at least a dozen that I have to complete on a pretty regular basis that don't ask the right questions to get the pertinent facts about what really went down on an assignment. It takes skill to develop a report that is a worthwhile tool. Some just don't have it.

I have never seen anything other than a car dealership with them. Not with a bonus either. I just have no desire to go to a car lot so I have never shopped with them.

They probably did lose the electronic store shop. The same electronic store is struggling to stay afloat as a brick and mortar store. They have recently closed many stores. Maybe they had to cut back on the mystery shopping...
I have wondered the same thing about the big box electronic shop. I must say, I will not miss them. Buh bye!
I have worked with a few schedulers that toss out bonuses and a few that won't give me a $2 bonus..... I think its hit or miss.
Some of the shops in my areas are up to almost 50 dollars!!

BestMark is still doing the big box electronics stores in my area. But the pay is ridiculously low, and the time to get one of these done is maddening by the time you are able to track down someone in two different departments and make a purchase.

I didn't see the electronics shops in December, but I assumed it was just because it was Christmas. I assumed they would pop back up in January, but I haven't seen them yet. I don't mind the one person on site and one person phone call shops, but the two people on site suck.
