Having issues getting paid for a shop completed, and turned in Sept 08

Ugh I am VERY frustrated with this company!!!! I e-mailed them about NEVER being paid, and reimbursed for a 40 something dollar lunch shop they assigned my for cheesecake factory. Now I would NOT spend 40 dollars on a lunch there I have 2 young children, but I did it based on getting reimbursed, and paid for it. I was asked to bring a friend which I did. I turned ALL requested documents in for the shop, and made the report VERY detailed. I waited as I know it sometimes takes a month to get paid, but yet nothing came. Other shops paid me, but these people never did, and this was not some 10 dollar shop. Now shortly after they were offering payments they changed their terms to now it's a gift card back to the place you did your shop. I did the shop BEFORE they changed the rules, and let them know as it is on record. I got 1 e-mail from these people claiming they paid which I assured them NO they did not, and I would not bother them had I gotten the payment they said they would give me. They said they would investigate it, and get in touch with me to fix it. Well this was back end of Nov 08 start of Dec 08, and it is now almost end of Feb 09, amd still NOTHING what makes me even more angry is that I KEEP e-mailing them about being ignored, and no one contacting me with what's going on with it. I e-mails a not so polite e-mail mind you no bad language just the basic facts they agreed to pay they have not, and I am out 40+ dollars on a BAD lunch that took over 2 hours which no lunch should have taken 2 hours since we were not there just shooting the breeze. I even appoligized for being so abrupt, but they have NEVER contacted me back since last year. I am pretty sure I am not going to see my money with this company since they are avoiding returning my e-mails, and I threatend to turn it into BBB about it, and still nothing. I was nice enough to wait, and give it time, but there is a difference in giving it time, and doing the shop at the start of Sept 08, and still not getting anything by Feb 09. If I need to post the companys name please let me know, and I will I just needed to vent about this because I no longer know what to do about this since they are avoiding all e-mails now.

Yep it is!!!!! I have tried contacting the department that said they were investigating, and heard NOTHING from them, so I have been e-mailing EVERYONE about this in their company. I even threatend going to the BBB about not being paid as promised by their company. I dunno if I will deal with this comapany again, or even suggest it to others. I even finally said look just pay what you owe me then I will not bother you folks again, and we can part ways. They just seem to avoid me, and they did say they were contacting the president to get it resolved. I dunno I have not had this much trouble before, but it's upsetting.
YOU need to pick up the phone, call the prez, and say that if you do not get your money by this friday you will file legal action. Then follow through.

Dee, if you have the prez's name & number, can you PM it to her?

This is a problem company. I don't think anyone is recommending them these days. That of course makes it tough for them to get shoppers, but they dig their own hole. And gosh, if shoppers are unwilling to work for gift cards they should perhaps take that up with the client.
I don't have it on this computer. It's on the dead hard drive. :-( Its Jane something. But I found her name and phone in the V forum, if that helps. It is only CCF that is gfit cards. The other shops around here are cash. I think the GC thing came from the client, personally, but have no proof...

Thanks all!!! I will be calling them. I did mention in more than 1 e-mail that I would be going to the BBB with this if they continue to avoid my e-mails, and they have. Now I will take action, and call as I did this shop BEFORE they changed their payment terms to Gift Cards, and I have NOT even been offered one of those. NOT THAT I WANT ONE!!! It's just really upsetting due to I had to bring a friend along on this shop per the rules of the shop, and I drove downtown to it after picking up my friend. I footed the bill for this lunch which was HORRID, and I was COMPLETELY honest in my report on my findings. There should be no reason to have to send a salad back twice, or for a simple lunch during a non packed time to take 2 hours. By the time my salad finally was corrected my friend was done with her meal, so I was able to have a few bites, and basically had to ask it to be boxed to go. I did speak to a manager who was nice about it all, but bottom line lunch was 40+ dollars. I was never reimbursed, or paid the payment on top of the job either. I would be happy just to get what lunch cost me back, and even told them that. It was for CCF, and NO I will NOT be going back there. I have been to the one in houston, and it was good, but this was an awful experience for lunch just for a sandwhich, and salad, and I had my reciept which I faxed to them as asked. I wont go back it's not worth it honestly if this is how the client operates. Just not worth my time, or money that I obviously would not have spent on a salad, and sandwhich of that price. I don't mean to sound cheap I am not just mad at how they are handeling it all.
I thoroughly understand your fury. Somehow it is alway the cheap or the really crummy shops that come back to bite you. I don't know that I would threaten with BBB as apparently a lot of folks on V have complained and their rating is already down to a B-. That is not to say you shouldn't call but just don't expect it to be a reasonably concerning threat. Some state have more activist State Attorneys than others, so depending where you are, that might be a viable threat. But frankly I would just talk with the gal about being disappointed with MG not living up to their end of the deal. You did the shop _______, you expected per their information to be paid __________. To the best of your knowledge there was no problem with the shop report because you never heard from them. You checked in on __________ by email and were told it was being researched. Your email(s) of _____________ got the same response. It is now __________ days since you did the job and you are personally disgusted that you are being treated this way.
