Yes, I noted earlier today that A Closer Look is encouraging shoppers to contact Yahoo because mail is bouncing. From their website:
"Please contact Yahoo immediately and tell them that they are blocking your important emails from A Closer Look. After multiple attempts to resolve this issue, Yahoo notified ACL that emails from us are '...permanently deferred; Retrying will NOT succeed.' This means that neither shop assignment notifications from us, nor editor feedback emails from us, nor simple correspondence from our admin staff, will be delivered to you. Your contacting Yahoo seems to be the only means that we have of convincing them that our emails are legitimate (we've tried to explain to Yahoo that all of our shoppers provide their email addresses willingly - however, because we've been in business approaching 15 years, a dozen of which have been using emails, older Yahoo email addresses are being reused and the recipients of our emails are simply marking them as spam, rather than reading them and following our opt-out procedures). For those of you that use a Yahoo email address as your means of getting information from ACL, should our shoppers' efforts fail to convince Yahoo that our emails are legitimate, our only suggestion is that you change it to an alternate instead. That way, our notifications to you about shops when they come online will not be delayed for hours or even days or blocked permanently (letting another shopper pick it up before you). We are sorry about this situation, but our communications have proved fruitless when dealing with the email people at Yahoo. We are continuing our best efforts to resolve this situation."
Your best bet is probably to get a Gmail account at www.gmail.com It is free, encrypted, web accessible and offers more storage space than you will ever need. I use about 1% of my available space every year because I save every job related email except jobs solicitations that have no interest to me. (I.e. I have thousands of saved emails that can be searched readily by keywords.)
Although it is a PITA to change your contact email address, better to do it before you have signed up with hundreds of companies.
