Reviews Requested for B Business Solutions

I have been assigned a hotel shop with this company, B Business Solutions aka Bizshoptalk, and I was hoping that I could receive some reviews and impressions of this company.

The assignment includes an overnight stay, dinner for two, breakfast for two, valet parking, and spa services. It is asking that I have at least $800 worth of credit on my credit card as everything must be charged to my credit card. From what I understand, I will be reimbursed those expenses within 10-14 days after check in date.

Has anyone else completed these shops and do they normally reimburse within that time line? I am being cautious as I was one of those shoppers who was involved in the "Freeman Fiasco" and I really do not want that to happen again.

Any advice or impressions you can provide would be much appreciated, and you'll definitely put my mind at ease.

I have completed one shop for them. It was an easy shop and they paid within two weeks. Hope they have more soon.
Hi, sj, welcome to the forum. The forum has a great search function. To search for B Business Solutions, which has several discussions, click the "search" on the top blue line on the forum page. After putting in the company name, select "all dates" to get all discussions. If you search before asking about a company, most times you will find discussions about the company. If you search and find nothing, when you ask, it's best if you provide a link to the company so other forum members can be sure exactly what company you are asking about. Some MSCs have very similar names and it's easy to mix them up and get a review on the wrong company.....which none of us wants.

Before I tell you my impressions of this MSP, which are positive, I suggest that the time to research a MSP is before you accept an assignment that is both demanding and requires you to front a significant amount of money. Please use this forum or Volition to see what others have posted in the past.

I have completed about 8 assignments for B Business Solutions over a few years. These assignments were not nearly as demanding as a hotel stay. They pay reasonably well for the effort involved, but editors sometimes ask for clarifications that seem unnecessary. I had a hotel check-in shop that involved me paying in advance for a one night hotel stay. I was refunded directly to my credit card in a reasonable time after submitting the report.

I would work more for them, except for the very limited number of shops in my area.

Good luck.

SJ, The hotel charges are reversed, so if your timing is correct, the reversal will come before your statement cut off date. You will still get the hotel loyalty points. Your fees and tip reimbursement will be paid timely. They are NOTHING like Freeman. Make sure you write a detailed report.

I agree with cubbiecat except that the hotels I have done for this company I have never kept the loyalty points for. They have always been taken from me when the reversal went through.
They are a good company. I love the hotel shops. Definitely give them lots of details, even if you think it is redundant. And no problems with credit card charge reversal usually, but keep an eye on it and if after 2 weeks has passed you still don't see it reversed, email them and they will take care of it promptly.

I registered with them a long time ago but never had my application accepted/confirmed. Anyone else experience this?

Hello every one my name is Niki Saan I'm the new kid on the block.

Question in reference to the hotel shop, why would you do a shop asking that you have $800.00 on your card.

Even if they give it back in a few days, what kind of money are you going to make????
Hi Niki Sann!

Welcome to the forum! You have found a terrific resource to help you with mystery shopping. Not only is this a place to ask questions in threads, but you will find valuable reading in some threads that are like true reference materials. To get you started, I suggest you read the threads in the section titled "New Mystery Shoppers."

As for your questions, they want you to make charges (hotel room and possibly meals, gift shop purchase, parking, etc..) on the card and be reimbursed later. Generally speaking, hotel shops pay a small fee, up to $75, plus full reimbursement of all required expenses. The greater value is the room and services that you and a guest will share.
