International Service Check

I have a shop lined up with these guys, any feedback? Im pretty sure all of the instruction and narrative is written in another languauge, then sent through a translating program. The job seems legit, so that doesn't worry me but it is different. I get to go to a professional test center and take a dive on the test, rate the facility, etc. Just curious if anyone can speak to this?

I have done at least a job a month for the the past year. It is always scheduled through Kern. Their language translation thing is a bit off, but really not that bad. The thing I dislike the most is their web site's issue of making you choose an answer or writing in an answer, then having to save and confirm. Other than that, I have no issues. I have been paid on time each time, except once, when it was about 10 days late for no apparent reason. After I did a bunch of jobs for them, I had to become "certified" through them. I am not sure if it was something new they instituted, or if someone had messed up and not had me do it first. I like some of their shops a lot, and some a little. Some I feel should pay more for the amount of writing, which has always been the same for the shops I have done, regardless of the amount the shop paid.

I agree, the input is a bit of a pain, but if nothing else the wording makes me laugh. I've noticed there is a lot of redundancy on the forms too. I have always been paid no problem.

The one comment I do want to make is that it's been my experience that they tend to require a purchase but don't really compensate much to make up for it. Their fee rate is low, so make sure you are buying something you want to buy. For example, I was reimbursed by them for a perfume store shop. I did not want to buy anything at this store for myself, but it was holiday time so I bought a gift. That made it worth it for me.
I have done some shops for them...a VERY long redundant form. Lots of time for only $10. each!
I find it a little exciting when I'm contacted about a first shop for a company I've been registered with for a long time. (Sometimes it's so long that I've forgotten that I'm registered, and have to check my notes.)

Today's "excitement" came from this company, and I'm not surprised to read through this thread. Upon signing in, I read about the shop, and was amused by the language. For what at least seemed like a fairly involved shop, the site excitedly stated, "You will make $12!!!"

Needless to say, my own excitement was short lived. No thank you, International Service Check!
