Those Home Improvement shops are pretty detailed. I would suggest a voice recorder an a prior visit to plan your attack. Lots of names to note.
Easy shops. Just take a little shopping list with you and make notes...

I find them a pain in the you know where. Enter act with 5 employees on the floor, the cashier, the person in the lumber area. Get a grip. I find that my time is more valueable then the small pittance they are paying.

I'm not sure if we're doing the same shops then. The ones that I do only have you interact with 3 employees and it's not so much as interaction as you have to see if they acknowledge you.

Must not be the same. The one that I had I had to interact with some one in paint, one in flooring, one in plumbing,one in garden, then one in the lumber pickup area, the cashier. To me it was a pain.
