Not in a few years. They usually have several shops in my market where the pay is not too bad, but I would not cut it as a 'biker chick' to do them smiling smiley They also have some cheap bank shops. I cut my bank shopping teeth on their shops, but once the pay started going down I found other places to do bank shops.
I've done numerous shops for Bare over the years. Sassie, except for a short time where Bare tried a different platform that didn't pan out, then reverted to Sassie. Good communication, guidelines, reports and pay - both Paypal and check, on time.
In my area, they have only a couple of things. I've done a couple of bank platform shops - pay is 20% lower than most other bank shops posted by other MSCs - when they have been on the way to something else. I've done a couple of apartment shops. Nice company, good instructions and report forms, good constructive feedback, pay on time.
I have only done one shop for them. Paperwork was easy to understand. Shop went well. Pay was prompt and as promised.

They don't have a lot in my area.
I have never had any issues getting paid by them, but it is infrequently that I shop for them; they don't have much here.

I've done 4 shops for them. Paid on time, towards the end of the next month as promised. My only gripe with them is that 2 of the 4 shops got graded as a 9 with absolutely no comments why. But that all depends on the editor you get. Overall, the company is reliable.

They are one of the respectable companies and reliable ,loyal to pay.
When I was doing mystery shops in college a few years ago, Bare was one of best companies I worked for.

They are very reliable.

"Meaningless statements are the functionality of a meaningless mind."
They are not my favorite company for many reasons. They take a while to pay, they do not pay as well as some others, their infrequently have jobs here, they require too much narrative for the pay, and on, and on...But they are far from the companies I like the least list. They just "are," for me. :-)

They are ok. Just "ok" though. The schedulers are nice, but I find there's usually a lot of details involved for the pay. Also, they used to have better shops than they do now. Now it seems as though they have a lot of less desireable ones in my area for somewhat low fees. I'm not talking CoRI low, but somewhat lower.
I've tried signing up at their website and got through, but I need to take one of their tests and whenever I try taking it, it says the page doesn't exist. :/ So I haven't actually been able to try them yet.
If you've been accepted as a shopper, you'll have received login information and a shopper ID number. The testing center is on the Shop Log page.
Bareinternational is my nightmare ! I have done some tests for watches in Switzerland and I haven't a written offer. In Switzerland asking for a written offer is ridiculous because the scenario was in the luxurious area in Geneva (watch cost between 10'000 and 15'000 ) Bareinternational asked why I haven't a written offer, of course I explained which was the reason and they didn't accepted and cancelled my test. The worst for the end an other test for watches was accepted (note 8/10), but a few days later cancelled reason not enough comments. The real reason is while I said that the marketing department will be informed from this story. They think they are the king, but in fact they are not serious and they think that they can do what they want with the mystery (misery) checker. Don't be shy and inform the marketing departement if something isn't logical. We are the source of the informations and not the stupid monkeys which have all risks. Say something when it isn't fair we can make the change !
I've done several shops for Bare and have been paid extremely quickly. I only wish they had more shops in my area.
I did an airport shop for them and there was this one guy that is a scheduler and he was my worst nightmare he actually made me not ever want to work for them again
Brenda, you have posted a number of negative feedback items tonight. What are the companies you LIKE to work for?

Bare is on my #1 list. I do many for them monthly from Apt's., to lunch, to a health club and on and on. I like their varity, and they AWAYS pay on time...they have direct deposit or check, whatever you want. They can be reached with problems, just a top rate company.

Live consciously....

Irene, you should edit out the name of the client in your post. It's a violation of your ICA.
I've always felt loyalty to Bare and vice versus. They are prompt with payment and I've always felt appreciated by their staff. Wish all the companies I've worked for were as professional and caring. Any problems or questions are encouraged and they have always been there to help!
Bare "absorbed" Video Eyes about a year ago and since then (with new staff on the "video beat"winking smiley they have had few video assignments and have dropped their pay levels for video to the point where a lot of experienced video shoppers are not biting. At a recent professional conference, the company president stated (at an open forum) that they were moving away from video "because the clients don't want to pay for it." Oddly enough, the same conference was attended by principals of several other MSCs that are growing their video business by leaps and bounds in industries that have not used video before now.

In the past I also did some non-video work for them and was generally pleased. however, the options for their shops in my local area are pretty limited.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
A recent "professional" conference. We know what THAT might be. LOL. Professional? Some have other opinions. Lets be real. It WAS a conference. Opinions of that WILL vary.

What is the problem with considering ourselves professionals? I am new to this forum and wonder why my posts are being parsed at every turn.

If 200 mystery shoppers have 2 days of work shops together, is this not a professional conference? What's the issue? Are shoppers who went to the conference not welcome here?

Nothing is wrong with calling us professionals. I have a problem with the conference. YMMV.
