Ready to scream at the Maritz website

Am I the only one that is having problems pulling the site up? My phone insists it is a dangerous site to go to and will NOT allow me on it. My secruity program (Kapersky) on my laptop kept saying that their certificate was expired but finally let me create an exception so that I could get on. And my iPad wants no part of the site at all. None of my devices are sync'd so it is not that. It seems Maritz's security certificate really is expired and getting reports entered is a big pain right now.

My phone is the worse as I keep getting a message that it is too dangerous to access the site because it is mining data. I finally found a way around that and then it would not allow me to download a .pdf from the site because of malware. This is the only site I'm having issues with and it is driving me crazy!!!

I just logged into Maritz and even though they are rumored to still use rotary dialing telephones, they do have a current properly signed SSL security certificate that is valid until 07/19/17. I also have Kaspersky and it is not on Kaspersky's list of dangerous sites.

They do not have rotary dialing phones. (That will be implemented next year!). They use hand cranked phones and go thru a switchboard operator. ( Does anyone else remember asking an operator for Mitchell 92611? I dunno).

They are proud of the latest 1960' Unix Servers. For those of you who never had contact with these beasts, they are the size of a riding lawnmower and take 3 days to boot up!

Lets not forget the Sweet Ladies that answer the phone. The right one is never available. ( She is always busy applying lip stick to her teeth.)

The only thing dangerous about this site is getting a response on the same day...

I'm still learning 24/7.
Bill. You can self assign after completing a certain number of shops. How many? , I have forgotten. Call them Monday and find out...

When I joined Maritz, shoppers were allowed to self-schedule after successfully completing 10 shops. Shoppers are still allowed to self-schedule after successfully completing a certain number of shops. Not sure if 10 is still the magic number.
I was told there was no magic number. I asked when I first started with them a year ago and was told it happened for a lot of people around 10, so that was the number most people assumed, but that it actually varied. I either can't remember or was not told what the criteria was.

At some point you can self assign, and you can search the job board by zip code.

I was able to self assign after the first shop. And the search is easy as well. Use your zip code and then you can filter by due date, client, distance, etc. I have no problems with the site.
I got a call from them the other day asking if I would do a grocery store. I asked for a bonus as it was out of my county. They added a bonus and nice lady told me "The system says it is nine miles from your house (more like 17) that is as the crow flies and I would like to find this mythical crow that flies so short of routes."
My crow is nuts, too, and their zip to zip system doesn't work. For example, I have a shop about 20 miles down a rural road and back from the town where the crow flies.

Kimmiemae, my crow refuses to wear the "shoot me now" vest.

I agree with your crow!!!

As a side point, we have to wear them where I work if we go outside. One of the managers we used to have always put his on wrong side out so the reflective strips never showed. Guess he never caught on to all the strange looks and giggles he used to get.

LOL when I lived elsewhere, the ladies kept offering me bank shops (supposedly) with 20 miles from me. I kept informing them that the bridge from Oyster Bay, Long Island to Rye, NY was never built so it was more like 100 round trip (plus tolls on the existing bridges and tunnels). I declined.
check your time and date on each device for it is directly connected to this message. I have found using Chrome on my android gives me this option when I get this message.
Of course crows are quicker and can fly in a straight line. And they don't have to deal with red lights, traffic accidents and road rage.
