Service with Style

This has got to be one of the worst companies to work for. I did a job almost two months ago. I finally received the check and it bounced. I called the company and they refused to pay the bouncing fee. Its bad enough they pay very low for their very redundant reports, and you have to wait months to get paid. Now the check bounced and they don't even want to fix their mistake. This company is a joke if you ask me. DON'T TAKE JOBS FROM THEM. you won't get paid and its not worth it.

You already complained on an existing thread. Are you on a mission? They are a very pleasant company to work with. They clearly state their long pay cycle. When I had a bounce and notified them they quickly replaced the check and paid the bounce fee. Perhaps your attitude was one that they decided they didn't need having to keep around as a shopper? Obviously you won't work for them again so why bother making nice?
I also had a check from them that bounced but when I called another check was sent and hopefully went though and is fine. Clearly they need an overhaul of their accounting department.
I just started doing shops for them. I was paid promptly for the first shop without incident. I've found them to be very responsive and nice folks.
We would like to apologize and make this up to you. We had an isolated incident when we switched payroll systems in June. We have been in business for 18 years and we take pride in the relationship we have with our observers. We understand how important great observers are to our business and we appreciate the hard work they put into their reports. Please contact me directly at Shelli@ServiceWithStyle.com so that I can make sure your issue is resolved.
Flash - I can't believe that you would make the starter of this thread out to be the "bad guy". They are the victim and they have a right to be upset!

Welcome to the forum, Tova. But I'm confused by your post. I read the OP's post and I read Flash's post. I don't think Flash made the starter of the thread out to be a bad guy in any way. I do think, and rightly so, she pointed out that he had already posted his angry post in another place. She asked if he was on a mission.

It's my opinion that the OP WAS on a mission. The OP joined the forum at 5:20 and quickly made 3 angry, negative posts about this issue, and then he exited the forum at 5:33, after which he never returned. He was here 13 minutes total, so it appears he came here and registered solely to make the 3 angry posts. So, if he was upset, hopefully, his angry, anonymous bashings of the company made him feel better. I hope so.

And, just an additional comment: Since we all post anonymously here, we have no way of knowing who the OP is or if his post is true and legitimate. Maybe he was a victim with a reason to be upset or maybe he is just a failed mystery shopper out for revenge. Who knows? Certainly not me or you.

When any new poster starts posting on multiple threads with their obvious annoyance it standardly is someone who has decided to try to slam a company. Yes, we get upset. Two months or more IS the pay cycle for this company and is so stated on their website. A bounced check when handled in a mature and reasoned fashion gets replaced by them quickly and if you aren't aggressive, you are likely to have your bounce covered as well as an apology. Shelli from SWS did hop on here to assist the poster though I sure haven't heard an 'oops' from the OP. The OP is not a VICTIM, they have a business problem which could readily have been solved had they dealt with it in a businesslike fashion rather than start screaming.

Two separate bounced checks? That is worrisome.

The OP did NOT say there were two bounced check. They complained that it took two months to get paid and the check bounced. Two months is pretty standard for this company for payments and I believe their website may even state 90 days. They are a quite decent company to work with, just one with a longer pay cycle than most.

Yikes. 2 bounced checks? I'll stay away from them.

That is NOT what the OP indicated. They got paid after two months and that check bounced.
I read the two bounced check as one to the OP and one to Flash. I love Service with Style and have no problem with them. I can always reach someone by phone during business hours if I wanted to change a date or ask for a clarification.

A toast to AustinMom and her Thanksgiving wine! I love your posts and you are always the voice of reason. Hope to see you at the next conference.

There apparently was a small group of checks that bounced. I gather it was not the whole batch, though that has been known to happen when a major payment from a client did not clear or the accountant goofed the books or a partner decided to dissolve the partnership and take 'her' money out of the company account. S*it happens. I suspect that very few people have never bounced a check. Certainly not something that any of us want to do since it is both expensive and embarrassing.
Oops, posted in the wrong thread.
