Is ACE Mystery Shopping any good?

I just got a good fine dining experience, and my first for fine dinning. I have done casual fast food, no quick. This one is pricey out of pocket.

Hi there. I haven't done fine dining for Ace or anyone else, but since this is your first experience with fine dining and your first experience with Ace you may want to continue with caution. There is always the possibility on any shop that it will not be accepted and you will not be reimbursed for your outlay. There is never a guarantee you'll get your money back. If you can afford it and don't mind spending your own money for this meal then it would not be that big a deal if you did not succeed with the shop. As to whether the company is any good, you can do a search for Ace and it will bring up any related threads or comments. If you have any questions about the shop itself it would be good to get in touch with the scheduler or with someone at Ace to address your concerns.

I am registered with them but only see menu audits, which don't sound fun. I will say, I have seen the owner participating in this board, and she mentioned a while back that the ownership was changing from a team to just her and her husband, and that seemed to make people motivated to work for them, so she must be liked.
I've performed many shops for ACE. I received a large check and a letter saying another partner and husband had taken over the company. As I recall it was professionally written. They had cell phone shops and observations in one city now it's menu audits. In another however it's one dining area and lots and lots and lots, did I say lots of oil changes with a shop fee. The fee goes up through the month as well. I've done oil changes for complete strangers.

They had problems with payments....they used PayQuicker which was good but then charged then switched to something that started with a D..never received payments from them.. Then I received a check. So it seems that they resolved the payment issue. So now I've done the oil change shops and will continue to do so.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

I have not done any Ace fine dining shops but there are lots of threads on fine dining. One thing which is consistent for many of the msc on fine dining is that in order to stay barely within the reimbursement you need to order two of the least expensive items on the menu...think chicken or pasta rather than steak and fish even if your restaurant is famous for their fish or steak. Buy the bare minimum needed of alcoholic drinks, order the least expensive appetizer and dessert and you will usually make it. If you want to enjoy a more expensive entree then you generally need to be willing to have the dinner at a discount. Many shoppers report that this is fine with them. Look at the menu with prices online and see if you are either willing to spend some on your own money or eat the cheaper stuff.
I regularly do a fine dining restaurant in Southern California with them. In my case, the reimbursement is high enough for me to select whatever I want.
