Mercantile

Mercantile just posted April jobs...all the same restaurant, using the gift card. They must have lost a couple old ones, and replaced with these. I do like this restaurant, but no fee and GC......applied for one to try out, then we'll see!!

I have worked for them twice. They have a one site job here about every 6 months or so. It's audio-recorded and fairly easy to complete. Both times I was paid at the end of the month following the month the shop was completed.

They had many more restaurants last year, just see a couple now, and now switched to the gift card...used to pay 20.00 fee and decent reimbursement plus quick pay. I'll let you know how long it takes to get the gift cqrd, doing it on the 18th.

I have a ff for Merc tomorrow with a fee and reimbursement. I also did a nice restaurant last month with a nice fee and fat reimbursement. They already paid for that one. I did notice that one of their other restaurants has gone to someone else for a much lower reimburesment and no fee. Haven't seen the gift cards yet.
The bar audits are very long and detailed. You have to constantly watch the bartender, get names (though no one wears nametags) or descriptions of six employees, report three transactions not including your two. There is more...tests you have to perform. The report takes a while, but the fee and reimbursement are higher than most. Expect editor questions. I am lucky to have someone go with me who has a great memory so we write the report together. I have fared well so far and they keep offering them to me.
I do Mercantile bar audits, but only lunch or 3:30 dinners. You get a good seat and it's not a mad house. Won't do the evening ones, but the lunch ones are much easier. I do them alone, and tell the bartenders, I love sneaking an hour to myself out of my busy schedule, and have a drink and appetizer. They love to make small talk and it is a relaxed situation. Sports are always on their big screen T.V.'s, so it's very duable for a woman alone. lame1 Wrote:
