I've seen them. I don't remember which company, and if I did I wouldn't be allowed to tell you.

I know who does them and I have completed the shop. My nephew loved them as I used the shop to get his Christmas present to get Star Wars legos. I cannot tell you which company it is that shops them due to ICA Agreements and forum rules. I, however, will tell you that you will find the company listed on the Official List Of Mystery Shopping Companies listed on every page of this forum.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
I bought my nephew a Lego set with that shop last year. It was a Batman batcave. He was about 4 at the time. I don't know who had more fun with it - his aunts or him!

If you are signed up with the company they send out emails with the Lego shop announcements so you can easily find out the MSC if you are signed up.
It is a Prophet company. They get snatched up fast!
Thanks everyone!

In my area, they have been sitting. Guess the children of shoppers have "aged up." My recollection is that you are to buy loose parts, not sets, which would also make them less attractive. My kids are too old, and I can't see giving bags of random loose parts as gifts.

Shopping South Jersey, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Delaware above the canal since 2008
Thanks!

Thanks! How I wish I could just get a clue as to the name of this elusive company.

In the time you have spent in creating this thread and re-reading the various replies over the next few days, you could have applied to a dozen MSCs. Even many more if you use browsers that pre-fill remembered field entries, to where you do a few clicks and you're in. Someone has already even given a big hint to whittle down the number of possibilities earlier in this thread.

My brother is desperate to find out which company does mystery shopping for the Lego company (he's obsessed with lego's). Does anyone know?

Also, if you actually did the work and registered with several MSCs and found which one offers them in your area, you are still bound by your agreements to not divulge the MSC. So if you told your brother you would be violating the various agreements you are signing your name to.

A little harsh don't you think? It has probably taken the OP less than five minutes to create a post, check back and post two replies which included thanking everyone for what little information they could provide.

Come on now.

I wonder if the requirements are different in some places. Mine was only a set reimbursement amount. The instructions didn't stipulate what could/couldn't be bought.

I have done them for years and never had a purchase requirement beyond a set amount I had to spend.

Well, she has been a member for a year. She has said she has MSed for 6 months, and applied to several other MSCs...then asks us to not only break our confidentiality contracts by divulging the identity to her, but on top of it, tells us in advance that she will be telling her brother the identity on top of it. Two people clearly said that they cannot tell her, and she continues to ask for hints and "really wishes she could find out". I dare say that the MSCs would not be any less "harsh" if they were involved.

I was just looking for some information, not asking for people to break confidentiality contracts or looking to disclose. Believe it or not, I did take the time to sign up for several mystery shopping companies. While it did take a bit longer than the minute it took to post and read replies (even with the autofill!), I will now do the research on my own.
STL_shopper, the OP joined a year ago and had already been shopping six months. She has not posted since. It is not uncommon for new or infrequent visitors to ask who shops who because they don't notice the admonishment in the forum guidelines. The first time someone asks it doesn't hurt to give them the benefit of the doubt.

On the other hand, if the new member begins to stomp their foot and berate us, please feel free to blast them. I certainly have and will continue to do so. We actually have a name for those folks, p-rincess stompy foot. We also have long time members who only visit to ask the question after being told umpteen times. As far as I'm concerned, they are also fair gamewinking smiley

I agree w/STL_shopper. It looks like OP kept asking same thing over & over & then when someone called her on it she goes back & edits all her posts. I wish people had the ballz to stand by what they post.
I was looking for information!!!! And I thanked people for the information!!!!! Sweet Jesus!!! I tried to delete this whole stupid post but wasn't able, so I just made all of my original posts generic. I will stay FAR away from posting anything on this this website in the future.

LEGO shops <3

Been wanting to buy their Simpsons sets every time I do a shop there but my children are really into LEGO. Hehe

Silver Certified ~ Shopping all of Toronto and beyond
I did one many years ago for my nephews. Now I have my own child who loves legos and would love to grab them but they do get snatched up quickly in my area.
I have mystery shopped for over 15 years and over the course of time, I have been a member of several forums like this. I am surprised by the tone of some of the participants here (not just this thread). In the old days, we helped other shoppers to the extent permissible by the IC's and when we couldn't help, we still explained (esp to a newbie) why we couldn't. Why is there so much animosity here? It is very disheartening. Just my two cents smiling smiley

It's a running joke. Some people here are serious asses. They're really busy behind their computer screens .
Thanks for the support smiling smiley I of course have gone back to review the guidelines, and for the most part, and am very appreciative of all of the comments and help! Quick update, I have been able to find the answer to my question and was able to find one of the shops! Found some other interesting shops/companies in the meantime as well. Pretty excited. Thanks again for the help, it is much appreciated.
If you do figure out who does this store and get a shop - Don't use your MVP card. I was emailed by the store manager about the results of the report.

That's interesting. I've always wondered if there were a tracking system that matches the VIPs with mystery shopper reports, although that has NOT been my experience. I did my first LEGO shop in 2010 and got my VIP card in that first shop. I've done them at the local store 3-4 times a year since, and I've done them in 2 neighboring cities when I happen to be traveling, and I use the VIP card. I've done 40+ LEGO shops, always using the VIP card, without being contacted about my report. After each visit, I always get the standard auto e-mail from the company thanking me for making another purchase and asking if I want to take a survey, which I ignore (I've already been paid, doing their survey would be double-reporting). I have 2 family members who also do the LEGO shops and use a VIP card who have had the same experience as I have.

I'm interested in hearing from more shoppers to see if kalfini's experience is unique ...... or maybe my family members and I have just been lucky up to now.
in my case there were significant problems and the email was an apology and a vow to use the information to correct them. Still kind of creepy they contacted me like that. Notified the MSC.

I'm not sure what the OP's original post was since he/she has deleted it but whatever it was, it apparently ruffled some feathers. The LEGO shops keep disappearing and then reappearing on the boards here. I think people snatch them up but when they read the new guidelines prohibiting returns, they cancel the shop and the whole process starts all over again.
I encourage shoppers to use the LEGO VIP card. You get points for your purchases and it works out to about $5 for every $100 you spend. About every quarter, the company does double-points on VIP purchases. I love when that coincides with one of my shops! I've done 22 LEGO shops and have been about to get 4 or 5 free LEGO sets using my points. I usually let the points just add up and then I spend the points online and have the LEGO set shipped to me. Free shipping, too. It's really a rush to order a $30 LEGO set and pay 0 and get free shipping and it is delivered in 3 days.
I've done Lego shops for years and ALWAYS use my VIP card. I've accrued quite a lot of points. I've only had one Lego shop that did poorly, and never heard anything from a manager.
This is one of my favorite shops to do as I can accumulate Star Wars Legos for my desk at work or for my kids.
