Ipsos; I don't get it

I've seen quite a few people raving about how much they like Ipsos and that prompted me to apply with them last week. I like the fact that they claim to pay in a week, that is cool! But their job board is totally confusing! I can never seem to get it to display shops correctly. If i put a 50 mile radius and it says it's in order by distance its not....I have to look over at everything because there doesn't seem to be any kind of organization to how the shops are listed for me. Anyways I ended up picking up a shop for them what was yesterday now. I've filled out the report, I've hit "check complete" at the bottom and it confirms it's complete. But when I go to submit survey it says you must complete all all of the answers. I've gone through and made sure every question is answered and even wrote N/A in every possible comment spot even though it says they're not required and it still keeps telling me I need to answer all of the questions. Their site seems incredibly non user-friendly. I don't get the love

Did you double check that you entered a visit date and time? Some forms pre-fill the date that you start filling out the report, but you have to actually click on it to select it, even if it's to select the same date as it pre-fills to. Also, verify there aren't any drop-down menu selections you might have missed.

I've been with ISPOS for a while and I have no issues with them. In fact they are one of my favorite MSC's. I found your statement about them paying in a week interesting. I have never been paid in a week. In fact this is their policy on their website;

3. Payment. IPSOS will pay you for each assignment within 45 days after you fulfill it; except that IPSOS may withhold payment if you have broken any of the above promises or if IPSOS or IPSOS' client otherwise determines that you did not properly fulfill your assignment. IPSOS payments are made only via PayPal; therefore you are required to have an active and valid PayPal account. You are responsible for maintaining and updating your PayPal email. IPSOS will not pay or reimburse your travel expenses or any other costs you may incur.

I really thought I read somewhere that they paid in a week I guess I was mistaken. And no this is an actual issue with the survey, the scheduler just got back to me this morning and said they're having problems and I will get an email later in the day when I'll be able to submit the survey. I still just don't get it their site is imo horrendous to navigate
IPSOS uses both the Sassie and the ShopMetrics platforms. These platforms are essentially the same regardless of which MSC is using them. From your description, it sounds like you are having issues with the ShopMetrics platform. I agree that for one client, it is sometimes necessary to save the survey and then reenter the survey again and then save the survey again (without changing anything) before the Submit button becomes active. If that is the issue you are describing, it is a nuisance and waste of time but not horrible.

Each platform is 'horrible' the first couple of times you use it. If all you ever used was SASSIE then it would feel like the 'point of comparison'. If all you ever used was Prophet then it would feel like the 'point of comparison'. Each platform (including ShopMetrics and the proprietary platforms) has its advantages and disadvantages. I like ShopMetrics because I can generally see the guidelines before I accept a shop. I like the Market Force platform because I can sort by type of shop. I like Prophet because for me it is a very intuitive platform. Virtually every platform has some unique and useful attributes and virtually every one of them has things I thoroughly dislike. Returning shops by distance when you search is prone to errors on all platforms. I get the best results on SASSIE at 30 miles; Market Force on 47 miles, etc. It is just something you need to play with. And all platforms are subject to issues and glitches. For me the worst platforms are those that don't allow you to save your work from time to time.
Does IPSOS pay with a check? I sign up with these companies and forget to write down how they pay. There's a pay statement available. Since they did not reimburse the total amount I spent and I'm really upset about it I plan to give the money to those peeps just off the highway with the signs asking for food; then I can consider not a total loss.
IPSOS pays by check.

I am not sure what you are saying. You buy something for $2 and Maritz reimburses $1, and you are upset. To get over being upset, you are planning on giving the $1 they sent you to "those peeps just off the highway?" I guess if doing that make ir "not a total loss" in your mind, that is fine. I just don't understand the logic.

When I first signed up for IPSOS and another msc,both outside the USA, I had a lot of trouble with the job listings. I was getting all sorts of jobs that were on the other side of the world from me let alone the ones on the other side of the country. One of the companies advised me to make sure I added US every time I looked at the job board. I am not sure if the system needs to learn itself but after 5-10x of looking at the job board the system seems to now know where I live. I was told that if just using a US zip code (or one from where ever you are) there are other countries that have similar zip codes to ours and the system gets confused since it is International.

If you are talking about IPSOS on the ShopMetrics site and are looking at the pay statements there . . . My experience with them is that the statement shows the fee, not the reimbursement. So I did a shop for them that had a fee + bonus + 'up to $10' reimbursement. The 'statement' on the ShopMetrics site showed the fee + bonus but did not show my $9.95 I expected to be reimbursed. When I was paid it was for fee + bonus + $9.95 reimbursement. I believe folks who have done their big client have mentioned that they did not see their reimbursement on the statements but did get paid.
Hmm, I checked my statement from last month's work and all of my reimbursements and fees show up in my history.
