Best method for getting COYLE Hospitality shops

Hi All,

When filling out apps for Coyle mystery shops, I have a set of carefully worded paragraphs that I use based on the type of shop that I'm applying for (Restaurants or Hotels). Is this a good practice? Should they be short? long? Detailed? Do they care that its reused? I'm new, so I know it may take a while, but I'm hoping to get at least one to check out the workload. Any tips about the process would be greatly appreciated!

It was over a year until they gave me my first assignment. I am not sure that they read what we say. In case they do, I keep it short and sweet. Let them know I have experience with similar clients, understand their requirements, fully committed to perform the assignment.

Tip #1; Agree to take the assignments that nobody else wants and do an amazing job on them.

Tip #2; Simply put the date you want the assignment for in the text box and let your reputation speak for you.

Unless the scheduler is desperate for a shopper, they are not going to take the time to read a paragraph of text in the application. There are over 1,500 shops offered each month, and many of them which require emailing back and forth with evaluators. If a scheduler worked 5 days per week and read just one paragraph for each assignment offered, that would be over 75 per day they had to sift through. Now imagine 10, 20 or even 50 people allying for the shops and leaving a paragraph.

Keep it as simple as possible!
I actually just state the date that I can do the shop. I get assigned with no problem. My sample narrative is included in my profile, which is detailed enough that if they feel the need, they can look to be sure I am the right candidate for the shop.
Thanks so much for your insight guys! I'm going to do as you all have advised and keep it super simple.
Hi all,

At Coyle, we appreciate it when you detail your exact availability in the comments. While it's helpful when you let us know about your experience, the specific availability is key. @SteveSoCal has the right idea; if you can help us out when we need it and, make sure it's as close to the client samples in our resource center as possible, we will remember you! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions.

We are always looking for new evaluators. Please visit our new platform at [coyle.shopmetrics.com] and sign up. So glad!! The resource center is an extremely helpful tool that gives shoppers an idea of what our clients are looking for in a variety of scenarios. Those samples can be used as a guide to creating a narrative that will get you noticed by the editing team in a very positive way.
