Maritz - on hold

It seems that lately I am getting more and more shops on hold with Maritz. Is anyone else having this problem. I never had it before and it is getting frustrating. Some of the holds happen a week after I input data.

It is rumored that Maritz is losing a lot of business. The Blue gas stations supposedly just left Maritz, dropping Maritz like a stone....many hundreds of scheduled shops for this week were canceled by the client, according to Maritz. Hmmm....

I have one tomorrow if it is the same blue station. A photo of every pump?
Yes, that's the one.....Everything got cancelled from the 13-19 time period, and four were cancelled on me from the 6-12 time period....weak excuses (of course via phone, the typical answer was "huh?"...they haven't learned to use email yet in Kansas CIty!) A friend of mine who shops for Maritz up in the SF Bay area had 16 cancelled! Ouch!

I'm not sure what is going on with your shops, winemaker. All of mine for this week and next week are still active. I actually wish that some of them would be cancelled. Way too busy.
They have been calling me several times a week. I never answer. The message is typically claiming some great new opportunity. Unfortunately, in the past, they refuse to provide details up front unless you have time to let them read the guidelines over the phone and go through a long q&a session.

I did two blue stations last night in the rain. Business as usual here in my part of Texas. Where are they cancelling jobs?

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.

As a debunker of memes on the popular social media site, I have to ask you where you heard this rumor and how many people have you heard it from.
If it is just you and your friend surmising a situation, you should consider calling Maritz and ask to talk to a supervisor. Often, shops are removed if your reporting falls into a certain algorithm. Talking to a scheduler will not be successful since many will not be aware that a shopper's status has been suspended.
I hate those blue ones where you have to get a picture of every pump. It takes forever. People gas up, go inside get something in store, then come out and sit in car at pump to text or talk on phone. Or station is so busy there is a line up at pumps and I can never get pictures. I have stopped taking them.
I like them and just received a call..another call...to take more. None have been cancelled and plenty are on the boards.

Rumors are just that....which is why I used the word in the first place...so no, I can't give you the source of the rumor....I don't repeat the source of rumors. It's a bad practice really, but as this is a blog for the shopping community, we thrive off rumors, don't we? (Ha!)

Of course, that got me to thinking...and searching the internet, and i came up with this!

MaritzCX Lays Off 40 Employees
Oct 4 16
MaritzCX has laid off 40 employees, including 24 at its Fenton office. Another 16 employees were let go from MartizCX's Salt Lake City office. MaritzCX was formed in January 2015 when Maritz Holdings bought Allegiance Software Inc. Under that deal, Allegiance was to become known as MartizCX, that combined Allegiance's software, which analyzes customer satisfaction, with Maritz's research unit.

Have to disagree. If you can't or won't give the source of the rumor then it drops to a lower level - gossip. I don't thrive off rumors or gossip but prefer to deal in facts.

I agree with LIJake.

@winemaker, do you write your mystery shopping reports based on rumors and gossip? I thought MS'ers deal with facts, not speculation.
My board is filled with bonuses gas stations but none within a 75 mile radius one way. AND it is too late in the year to be traveling for those shops.tongue sticking out smileytongue sticking out smileygrinning smileyconfused smileyconfused smiley
Yes! I had the same problem. Some of my issues were due to problems with their new app. I never could get help solving the problems. Eventually, I had 6 shops (2 redos), with no solutions or assistance in sight. I stopped doing the shops in my inbox. I called daily, nothing. I was out 100 bucks in shop pay and reimbursements, not counting time and gas. I told them I didn't want to start anymore shops till my issues were resolved. I could no longer afford to do free shops.
Eventually all of my outstanding shops disappeared and shops on log were pulled. Just a few days later they called wanting to know if I could do some of the night versions of the same shops. No thank you!
Issues that were my error I understand. Issues that were software related (their issue) nothing? I feel taken advantage of! They saw no problem just leaving me hanging with no acknowledgement or thought to the money I was out.
I will stick to companies that appreciate my hard work, return phone calls/emails in a timely manner and can answer my questions if I have any issues.

Aaaaand credibility lost.

Also, Maritz is a much larger company than just MS. They could lay off 40 people and it might never affect the MS program at all.

Pretty much every shop I've done the past month. They don't read the narrative, sometimes more than once. I just keep submitting the same photos over and over as they meet standards and then some. All my photos are taken with a 24 MP DSLR. They are good photos.

Are you saying that you submit photos from an old shop for your current shop?
