CRI- Target Apartment shops

To anyone who has done these, I really need some advice. I have made my 5 phone calls within the past 3 days and I can not get the target on the phone. Does anyone have some best-practice scenarios for the 6th phone call where I have to ask for the target, in how to do so without sounding suspicious? You would think at this point you would be a dead giveaway, and I have been trying to rack my brain on how to ask for the person without giving yourself away.

I thought of saying I was referred by a former tenant or something ... but if the leasing consultant is new, that would be a dead giveaway that you are lying.

Any advice, anyone??

Have someone else (souse, friend, etc.) call the complex and ask for the target. If the target is not there they can get the hours he/she works. If the target is there, they can say that they spoke with her/him a few weeks ago, and they can ask a question to get the hours they work.

My idea of an agreeable person is a person who agrees with me.

That's the problem. I know the hours they work and have called during those hours. I still can not get the person on the phone.

Then you'll just have to hit #67 on your phone before you call, so that your phone number will be blocked, and call 'til they answer.

I've called before and just outright asked when the target will be in. I just need to tell them I need to speak to so=and-so if they don't answer. Then I ask when the target will be in. It usually works. There's this one target at an Ellis shop though that has eluded everyone for a couple of months....bonussed up to $45. lol I got tired of calling a ducker. She's the manager too!
I have found sometimes the target is indeed working the hours listed but not scheduled to be answering the phone so they will never just answer. You would think the apt ordering the shop report would be aware of this but not!
Personally I have often wondered if it was a trap since we sometimes record the times and people answering to see if the target does indeed answer when they were scheduled not to! Not fair for our time but I think it happens.
Try having a friend call and tie up the person who answers the phone so that someone else will have to answer when you call. This is what some of my schedulers used to do for me when I reported problems getting the target. That said, I seldom do targeted written apartment shops because they pay so little compared to untargeted video apartment shops. Frankly, I don't see $45 as a bonused amount for a targeted shop. I do some untargeted written apartment shops that start at $45.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I did get a hold of the target but had to ask for her. That is a good idea about having someone else call and tie up the other person there which forces the person to answer the phone.

When I asked for the target, sure enough the other person asked who was calling and I told them that I was referred to the target. The target then got me on the phone and asked who the referral was, and I simply said that the person decided not to rent from you, however referred me over to you as they enjoyed working with you. I provided the name of my soon to be sister in law and said it was a few months ago, so hopefully that works. Who knows. It is so damn awkward when the person simply does not answer the phone. But I have an appointment scheduled to see the person this week when she'll be there, as she did not work the full schedule as was provided to me by CRI the other day.
Libby,
Apply to all of the companies that are on the video shop list.
