For $10 or even $20. There are 20 pages of guidelines and umpteen photos *required* - never mind photos of non-compliant items. Most MSC will cough up more than $20 for something that involved.

I also will not let you auto-schedule me for those home improvement store shops because I'm not dumb enough to take one for $12 when I can wait and get $40-$60.

Probably Maritz, the base fee for their home improvement shops is a measly $12. I won't touch then until they are bonused to $30 or more.

I'm assuming Alta because of their daily emails and now bonused to 17 or 20 for their long list of grocery stores.

Those sound terrible! I don't blame you a bit.... I don't have them in my area, I just have the grocery store shops that require a few focus areas and front end interactions, no photos except the receipt...

Kind of tangential, but does anybody see the upshot to those grocery store shops where you have to visit every single department and then spend two bucks? Pay's not worth the narrative, nor is the half pack of gum that gets you.

I love grocery shops. It is my goal to have all my groceries reimbursed from here on out. The grocery shops are so easy once you get the pattern down. You do enough of them you start memorizing the employee names at each store (makes reporting even easier). There is little to no narrative. I'd love to know what chain Alta works, but I suspect they aren't in my area as I would have seen the shops. We really have just three chains here, and two of them are with the Source. I haven't seen Safeway come up anywhere -are they shopped?

Albertsons owns Safeway. I don't know what MSC does Albertsons shops. I do two groceries in SoCal and could do more but, as others point out, the department encounters are too many and the pay/reimbursement is laughable. I am editing this to add that I just found an Albertsons on the list from my usual grocery MSC. It is one of the big MSCs that is a source for a lot of grocery shops. Albertsons is not big in my area so I have not done one. The MSC has realistic expectations for its shops. Hope you can find a Safeway,

Haha I made the mistake of doing 2 of these because a favorite scheduler asked me to. I figured "doesn't sound so bad and there's two of these in town... I'll do 2... and the first bank shop I did for Maritz paid $60 and was easier than some of the bank shops I do for Kinesis... this can't be too bad... maybe me holding off on signing up for Maritz for over a year was misplaced.."

Umm Never again $12! First off, it feels like 2 shops in one -- the out of stock part and the asking for advice part... secondly, that was a hell of a report for $12... and third off, they actually asked if I'd do the shop again or allow them to auto assign it. That was a big no and an explanation that it felt like 2 shops -- so either split it up at $15 each, or offer it for $30 because that's the minimum I'll take lol

That and the whole quiz thing and getting the code only when you "print". Trendsource is the only company I will do a quiz for -- and those are quick, straightforward -- and besides, they are how I pay for 90% of my groceries

So I'm still not too keen on Maritz... especially for this shop... maybe occasionally when the bank gets up to $60 to ask about a checking account I'll take it... I may get gutsy and try the blue gas station since apparently lots of people enjoy those -- but I'm not convinced yet -- it looks like they do pick up some great bonuses pretty quickly though

I can't say if Safeway itself is shopped as it's Vons where I live. I occasionally see Vons as a competitor shop. Just did an Albertson's as a competitor shop. Safeway's high-end grocery store, Pavillions, is shopped by another MSC not usually associated with grocery shops.

Has anyone tried WinCo with the new company?

For those in SoCal, try JMRidgeway and ServiceCheck for better paying grocery shops. Also, ISecretShop and AboutFace for the wealthier areas of LA.

The company that has been shopping United, which is also owned by Albertsons, currently is not shopping the southern states, I wondered if they lost the contract or if this is a temporary thing. Been shopping United for 3 years same company.

CO, how do you get your groceries covered with such a small reimbursement?
