Amusement Advantage

I have been trying forever to get assigned a shop with this company. What is the deal?

The most popular shops take years to get, as they have multiple shoppers applying. To establish yourself, start with those that stay in the board for a long time each month. Unfortunately, that means you'll often be taking something that you don't want and don't get paid (reimbursement only). Sometimes there are phone shops you can take, and they don't pay too bad, but they are in depth. Once you do them a few times, they're a snap. Amusement parks, waterparks, etc. are harder to get than skating & bowling...those are even bonused sometimes. Good luck!
I do work for them and WeimLover is correct. You do have to start out with the lower paying shops. I started with bowling and the ones that are free tickets only. I've done mainly zoos and aquariums and a few of the places with gokarts and arcades. I have not yet done a major amusement park. I did do a pleasure pier which is fun and I liked it a lot. Their shops are detailed and a lot of fun.

Agreed! I started with a bowling shop. I recently was assigned an amusement park that sat all month on the board.Keep Applying!
I just applied and was approved for my first amusement park shop. There are shops available in some areas, keep applying! And if you haven't applied to the company yet pm me your email and I would be happy to refer you smiling smiley
They also like when you apply for dates early in the month. I have applied for a couple mid-month and they responded asking if I could complete earlier in the month. I use these to take the kids on trips so I am not as flexible on the schedule with these.
I agree. I started with a museum shop, and they have shops that, if you do them, you'll get a priority on more desirable ones. They do prefer shops to be done early in a month. Do be thorough with your report, follow directions, and get a good rating on your reports. Then you'll start getting better jobs. The schedulers are great to work with, they respond promptly, and they do communicate via email and phone.
I guess it depends on where you live. I have received every assignment I've applied for.
