MaritzCX OnSite App

I've just completed a couple reports using this app. I downloaded it directly from the Maritz website. I had so many problems, from entering information, my reports not saving, my submitted reports showing received then later showing not submitted at all. Then problems with my photo's either too low pixel count or unreadable. I filled out each report six times before giving up. I went back to the website to complete and submit my reports. No problems. When i went to uninstall the app i saw that it got terrible reviews. Other evaluators had similar problems.
Has anyone else had problems ot any advice? Thanks! @julesbw65

I deleted the app months ago so I would not be tempted to give it yet another shot. It’s a hot mess.

I have the same problem with the photos being too small. Does anyone know who to call at Maritz about the problems with the app? I would like to use it, because I don't have to come home to working on the computer.
ive been told by team leader to not use app for my shops so i never have. if an app is working right it can be time saver but if it doesnt work over & over again why create xtra work for yourself. calling maritz to discuss app problems is useless. team members arent even allowed to use email. u thinlk they even know how to use most apps.
Strangely Maritz just call me a few minutes ago to see if I wanted to be "certified" for one of the Gas Shops. I mentioned that I dont do that client as they require use of a digital camera (not smart phone.) Mine isnt operating properly. The rep told me I could use the app for both photos and reporting. I said, send me the certification info and I would give it a whirl. Now, after peading this... I dont think I will even try the app. Thanks, peeps!

I tried the app for a few I was doing about an hour from home. I had gotten them at the last minute and they were in a deadline. The reports had to be in by 5 p.m. I gave up on the app and ended up submitting the reports on my phone as I worked, through a web browser at the MSC website. It had the same effect as using the app would have, if the app were running correctly. Now, these were really simple audits. I tried this technique again in the same area with a different route (different client, different requirements) and it didn't work. I ended up having to come home and do the reports on the computer.
Here are my tips for the mobile app.
1. Only use the android version with a great camera. GS7 or better.
2. When taking receipt pics, focus the receipt in the camera, close, and reopen to get good pics.
3. Using the app automatically skips the questions that don’t need to be answered.
4. The whole thing is uploaded and done before you leave the site.
5. Android actually saves the photos, so if you need them, they’re there.
I have experience the same thing. I am new and it mess up my rating score. Not sure how to raise my score.
I downloaded it today and used it to do a report. I had no issues.

How would Maritz know the difference between a pic taken with a digital camera or a smart phone?

The exif data shows what type of camera a photo was taken on. You could of course open the file up with a program that can edit exif data and remove that, but that seems like more work than just using a camera instead of a phone.

As a test, on your computer, browse to a photo taken with your phone, right click, hit properties, hit the details tab, 4th section is camera. Should list both the manufacturer and model number. That, btw, is the model of the camera in your phone normally, not your phone model number.

Actually you can highlight a whole batch of photos, right click, go to properties then details and remove all details.
