Coyle 2 night hotel audits

Hi,

How much work/what I'd your experience with the 2 night stay audits with the major hotel chain they have posted right now? How does it compare to other 2 night hotel evaluations? How many hours of work (both doing tests as well as writing reports)?

Also, I am thinking about applying for one in a foreign country (where I don't speak the language). I will disclose that in my application. Does anyone have experience and have an opinion on conducting evaluations abroad?

I am a seasoned Coyle evaluator, but still always shy away from hotel shops because the amount of "work" is not always worth it to me. That being said, I've completed many 2 night stays with 100% scores, so I do have experience.

Thanks!!

The workload was discussed earlier this year already:

It's a US based company and the hotel staff are expected to speak English with guests. I have done plenty of assignments outside of the U.S. and had less trouble in countries where I did not speak the language than ones where I did, but not well. I highly recommend conducting all evaluations in English unless it's requested otherwise, or you are fully conversant in the other language.

The hardest part for my upcoming assignments outside of the US will be remembering to use metric for the measurements.

BTW, the whole "No narrative" thing is not entirely true either. There's an add-on component for this year that requires a standard Coyle style check-in narrative. It wasn't in the instructions but there's a question on the extra form that simply says, "Provide a detailed narrative of the check-in experience."
