Experience w Service Evaluation Concepts

So far, I can't say mine has been particularly positive either with response time, the left hand not knowing what the right is doing, identifying appropriate scenarios and then rejecting a scenario for failure to play it etc. Any insight of other experience would be appreciated. Thank you.

Other than once sending me to a location that was closed, my experience with them has been positive. I do agree that the response time on emails can be slow. If I have a question that requires an immediate answer, I call.

What happened?
I never seem to get the right person to talk to. My first assignment amongst many was rejected because I undertook the "wrong" scenario although my initial document wasn't clear on the point. No one told me to revisit and look for shoes instead of accessories. I was signed assigned other shops for the same client in different cities and wanted to confirm the scenarios to insure this wouldn't occur again. My fault or theirs.

No replies from 2 people.

In one situation the shop had no address and it wasn't until I was pointed out in very "small print" that I didn't need an actual address. And yet later I learned that I didn't have to do it in an adjoining county because there was no project in MY county and it could have been done - which involved driving to 7 different stores comparing a particular feature - all for $40 ($20 each 2 assignments)

In addition that despite being based in Long Island they have people with a LI area code working in Ohio, they have a D rating by the BBB and aren't even registered with the BBB.

All this leaves a dirty taste in my mouth and I'm a pretty bright guy with retail experience as well as running my own businesses in the past.

I have no intent to smear anyone, but this had an odor to me the minute I started dealing with them.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with SEC. In one case I made a mistake and used the August scenario rather than the Sept scenario for a jewelery shop. The shop was done on 9/1 but I reviewed the guidelines on 8/31 so I got a little confused. The scheduler emailed me to ask what happened and I explained it to her. They still paid me for the shop.
I have ceased working with the company and have cancelled my remaining assignments with them. As I read on this board, some have good experiences with certain companies and others do not.
My first shop was a total disaster. For some reason I could not enter my shop. I tried three times and it kept going through blank. Finally, the scheduler realized it was on their end. They took the shop over the telephone and gave me $10 for all the problems I had. They also apologized because it was some problem with their computer. When I had this problem, the scheduler was quite nice, as I was about to just give up.

I did two more shops and absolutely no problems.

cello700, I'm sorry your experience with them was unfavorable. As far as the scenarios, my experience is that they're laid out in the monthly guidelines. I just accepted a shop for January, and as of now, the scenarios aren't listed for that month. I'm still a little unclear as to exactly what went wrong, but I would think that if you were able to point out a plausible reason why the shop wasn't done as they thought it should have been, they still would have paid you.

However, as you've stated, sometimes a company just isn't a "match" with the shopper. That said, if you feel you should have been paid, I would still appeal to the top, regardless of your decision to deactivate.
They have been recruiting, from what I hear. Possibly, in part, to help book health care shops due before the end of the year.
I did an expensive p/r shop for them. $450 handbag. Up to that point, it was the most expensive p/r I had ever done. Things went well until the store manager questioned my responses. It was she that I had shopped. SEC called me and claimed that the manager thought she knew who I was and that I was wrong on certain points, such as she DID introduce herself to me. NO, I remember thinking I won't know your name until I ask for your card. It upset me that the MSC would call me and question my report, especially at the incredibly early hour of the morning that they did it. East coast time vs. Pacific time. They woke me up. Other than that, I would work for them again, but as someone else pointed out, I am not in love with them.

They have no Health care shops here, just the same P/R...am doing three the first of the year. I have not had troble with them, although had stopped doing P/R for awhile. I used to like them, so, will let you know.

Live consciously....
Health care shops here are $45, one-on-ones.

This MSP first requires "BA", then for each client "CBA" status, which is time consuming and burdensome. This is my polite way of saying it's ridiculous, or as my son would say "DUDE!".
Mert, I'm with your son. How old is he? I have two 19 year olds living here with me. smiling smiley

I like working with them. They have some airport shops here that pay well and cover the parking too. They pay on time and are very responsive. I have no complaints. I wish they had more jobs in my area.
I have only done a few shops with them (P/R) but they have been very professional, easy to work with and quick to pay at a decent rate. Doing my first health care shop with them soon. I wish they had more shops close by.
