What's with Market Force's $3.00 grocery store shops?

$6.00 reimbursement, I believe. But, like, that doesn't even cover my mileage and time.

Anyone do these?

Pretty soon MSCs will be offering projects like this for $1.00. sad smiley

It is because some keep taking them, driving the pay down. Or maybe, behind the scenes, other shoppers are negotiating higher pay? Do not know what they are though.
I'll maybe try to ask for a bonus from MF behind the scenes. It's never worked for me, though. Only when they offer (meaning they take the initiative to reah out to me, instead).

The $6 reimbursement at that store goes a long way. The reimbursement doesn't cover my mileage and time because it is a reimbursement that covers my food. The fee for the shops I see is more than $3. Maybe because I don't ream out the MSC on a public forum? Just a thought.
I do them. The stores in my area are small and it only takes 20 minutes to complete with about 10 minutes of report time. I shop there anyway, and I only pick up a location if I have another shop within a mile or so of the location. I just look at it like a discount off my grocery bill. I can get a lot for $9 and I love their produce.
I did this shop once because it's next to my gym. It got rejected since i did not check the bathroom. There is no sign for a bathroom, so I figured that sinve there was no public restroom that I did not need to go to it. Heads up for anyone who has not done this shop. The pay was $3. It took a while though since they wanted to know every item that was missing, and this location had many things missing and I took it seriously.
I do them because it covers my onions and peppers for the week.

ETA: I don't do this shop for cash.

I do them but only do the one right next to my job for the $3 and like others mentioned your money goes a long way there.. in my area several of them will get bonused to $10 or more pay plus reimbursement so I just wait for the other locations to go up before I take them..
These are on the 40 ft pole list. If the location isn't well stocked on the day you visit, the amount of work necessary is preposterous. I have a hard enough time shopping there and getting everything I need.
Same here. I buy minced onion, cooking spray, and some frozen veggies and/or fruit that I buy there that are cheaper. I view it as offsetting expenses. And the stores around here are not hard/time consuming to do.

These are not bad shops. I buy my foil pans & cupcake liners there, anyway. I wouldn't do the shop unless I was going there anyway, or had another shop lined up, though.
I like the store, but I don't do these because of the level of detail they want. I find TS's grocery assignment much easier for more money.
In my area the stores are super small, with only 3-4 aisles. Takes no time at all to run through and get the necessary observations. I never go on weekends or at the beginning of the month when the stores are super busy. If you avoid going on peak dates/times you are more likely not to run into a bunch of OS items, so it's a piece of cake.
I do pick up a few when the price goes up but, only go on weekends when there are few out of stock items. I snap a picture of the empty space including the sign in case I forget the name brand or item. Refrigerated pizza is my go-to item.

They're a nice shop to pick up at the end of the month at an off time during the day, as most products will still be on the shelf. FOM, though? Forget it. You will be "texting" a lot of friends during your visit.
Their shop is a weekly audit. It reimburses $1. I did that shop for 9 months. I always bought chili powder, fruit or corn chips.

Everything helps kids.....3.00/6.00, week after week, it's money in your pocket if you buy the stuff anyway.
I've never seen those shops here, so I stick with the Source for my groceries, I shop in all their stores, and love two of them. Tomorrow doing three, steak, shrimp...here I come!!!!!

Live consciously....
This actually doesn't sound like a bad shop. If I was on the road, I would probably pick up 2-3 of these locations, have $18.00 reimbursed, and have my fruits and vegetables (maybe bread) covered for a week.
I don't see any mainsteam grocery store assignments in NorCal. I have signed up with a ton of MSCs and definitely the ones mentioned here.
shykar, these shops fly off the job board. It's one of those shops where if you don't log in and look at their job boards on a regular basis, you won't see them.
I have never seen them bonused here. I picked up my March shops by looking at the website.

I just did one bonused to 7.50. That's about as high as it goes, and I've only seen it for this one location that is a bit of a drive. I usually can get 2 other grocery shops in the area from another MSC to make it worth my while.

I picked one up about 6 months ago that had been bonused up to $10 plus the grocery reimbursement. It was only 5 miles from my house, so I took that one. I might consider taking more once in a while if there wasn't that time limit of not starting before 4 pm during the week. I don't shop weekends, so for me to go there at 4 pm, it has to be bonused. I'd rather go about 1 pm, but this Client doesn't allow for that.

These rarely get bonused here. It seems that bonuses are only needed when the shop has been flaked or rejected, as the shop dates are imminent. I'm not insulted by the fee, even at the starting rate. There are four locations within 10 miles from me, all in areas that I frequent. To me, it's a $9 shop. If the fee gets sweetened, so much the better.
