DO NOT work for Franchise Compliance

they are total crooks. Adam will not respond to my e-mails demanding payment for a shop performed on Sept. 9th, well over 90 days ago. I am going to do everything I can to see that all shoppers are warned to boycott this fraudulent company. (I know there is another thread dealing somewhat with this entitled the carpet cleaning shop), but I really want to state this up front where everyone will see it. I am contacting the corporate office of the client, hopefully tomorrow on my day off and inform them of what scammers they are dealing with in the hopes that they choose to change MSP's.

This reminded me that I meant to update the other thread - but will do it here. I ended up cancelling my shop with them.

When I emailed them to say I had concerns about payment terms, given what was being posted on the forums, I got a polite response from the scheduler indicating 'reasons' why two people were not paid (she was not referring to you Carol, these were from older posts on Volition). However, she never committed to any payment terms or clearly stated them either. I sent a second email saying that it was more than just the two she was referring to and I was not going to do the shop. I then got a second cordial and professional email from Julie (scheduler) saying she understood why I felt I needed to cancel the shop.
Are we, as shoppers, allowed to call the company and let them know that the MSP they are contracting with does not pay their shoppers?

Im new and do not know all of the rules just yet.
Yes, of course it is hard to reach just the right person. I have left messages, but I intend to warn them they are dealing with a fraud company and hope they will send their business elsewhere.

i just got a notice from them for a carpet cleaning in Austin again, ......
=deleted it quickly= While working for them before was fine and I thought they were quite a nice company, although they did pay slow, at 90 days, after hearing about their current payment issues, I am unwilling to lay out $150 for the carpet cleaning (which I also found to be a lower quality cleaning job than the one I had done by Sears - a different shop and different MSP - in July).

I will never shop for them again. Too much time spent trying to get reimbursed. Hooray for the shopper who responded on another thread about them that they reported them to the client. When enough times goes by without contact or payment, their ICA fall away as they have broken ther end. Carol57, why the need to call everyone that does not pay you thiefs, "frad"s and crooks multiple times? I for one, get what you are syaing without needing the namecalling all the time.
Just upset that is all. I have children and bills to pay. Sorry if it offended you., and I did correct my spelling to add that u to fraud. If you can 't get frustration out here, where can you? I have now filed formal complaints with the BBB for both this company and DSS. You might be interested to know that each has a rating of "F" from the BBB, on a scale of A+ to F.
Breaking news! After filing my complaint with the BBB yesterday, today I got a notice that "the check is in the mail." I'll wait and see on this one.
Okay, now this is rich. The check arrived today. It was postmarked Dec. 20th. It was Dated OCT 31! So it either took nearly two months to make it off of someone's desk or the BBB complaint got their butts in gear.

Three payments to shoppers posting here, including me, all arriving many month after the "date" on the check? Gimme a break. He is actually backdating these.

See other threads to which you have also contributed. I strongly doubt that this had anything to to do with the BBB. DID you contact the client, as you said you were planning to? If so, have you considered that as the immediate response reason? After all, they ignored U as they did me. And others. Then all of a sudden they paid you in a more timely manner then they paid some of us? I don't buy the BBB as they reason. What can they do to companies? And as you posted, they have an F rating for a reason which is that they did not respond to others claim. The OP that contact the client is probably the reason. AND, so, now they are found out.

I am still waiting to hear what Carol says about contacting the client.
I did contact the client, first locally, then was referred to corporate. I spoke with someone who said she was going to e-mail the person responsible for mystery shopping. I never did hear from that person, but very shortly after that, like two days, I received my notice that payment was being sent.
I've worked for them a couple times and never had communication or payment problems. They don't do much in my area, but always email right back about potential jobs.
I took a job for them before reading this thread. Fortunately, they hadn't bothered to send out the materials for getting a carpet cleaning sample, even three weeks after the alleged due date of the shop. After at least four emails regarding the lack of materials, I canceled the shop. They then tried to play the sympathy card, by telling me that the person who was in charge of the materials had a baby. The stuff arrived three days later, and I wrote, "return to sender," on the envelope, and put it back in the mailbox. Haven't heard from them since.
What a waste of YOUR time. Even if the company was on top of payments, not responding to emails denotes chaos or disdain. Their 'sympathy card' excuse is also pretty lame since at least when I was studying biology, you had a little advanced notice when you or someone else was having a baby . . . If that really was the reason for the delay it denotes an even higher degree of chaos.

LOL, perhaps, being a male, Adam Valdez didn't understand the weight gain and thought he had a pot belly, instead. :-) Just kidding! I will not shop for them ever again, after my experience trying to get paid and getting a check backdated by 5 months. I note that the Sassie log shows I was paid on a date in Sept, the date they originally did not meet, so they did not even try to fully fudge it.
I completed a mystery shop for Franchise Compliance between 2/16/11 and 2/20/11. The assignment was to rate a local carpet cleaning co. and pay $125 out of pocket for the shop. Their site shows that a payment was sent on 5/31/2011, however today is 6/26/11 and I still have not received it! I have left seven messages to the scheduler through the company's website and have not received one response back. STAY AWAY from FC

If a company takes a really long time to pay...shoppers should beware because maybe they will keep you waiting forever, hoping that you will forget about the time you did that shop for them 2 months back...
I have worked for them on numerous occasions, completing some of the $150.00 shops and really never had any issues. The scheduler here in California was very nice and I was paid in 35 days from date of shop. I am sorry to hear your experiences have been bad.
How long ago did you work for them, elenaramire? I also worked for them several times 18 months ago and had a good experience, and I also completed a $150 shop with no payment problems. Apparently, something major has changed in the way they do business and they are no longer a company that pays in a reasonable period of time or responds to shopper inquiries. I get plenty of e-mails on the shops I previously did but I delete. Until I start to see posts on the forums about prompt payment or even responses to shopper e-mails, if that ever happens, I will not consider working for them again. Late payment is bad enough, but when an MSC begins to also ignore the inquiries of its shoppers, that's more than a warning flag.
Does anyone have a clue how to get paid now that I have worked for this company. I am only out $60 plus pay, No one will email back. Do you have a number I can call.
Thanks for any help. They are terrible.
As of more than a year ago all phone numbers for them had been disconnected. The same was still true 6 months ago when we were checking. They already have such a poor BBB rating that it is dubious they care. For quite some time their schedulers have not provided a phone number or an email address except @franchisecompliance.com because they know shoppers are not being paid in a timely manner, yet they still hit my email box on a daily basis looking for shoppers and I send the emails to trash just as fast. This is NOT a company worth the frustration to work with.
I finally got a check from them after waiting over four months for payment. I also kept emailing them, but no one would ever respond. As soon as I got the check, I hurried up and took it to the bank. I have only done one shop for them and will never work for them again after reading all the negative comments about this company. I am also still waiting for payment from the Scandanavian shop that I did back in early May. Still haven't been paid for that shop.

now it's been 3 1/2 months and it still says 'payment pending'.
i've just written the following follow-up letter to julie bishop with franchise compliance:

"Julie Bishop -

Please be aware that I am initiating legal confrontation with your BathFitter client to receive direct payment for this shop. This is due to the negligence of Franchise Compliance to pay the fee for the shop in a timely manner. The 'payment pending' status is now 3 1/2 months delayed, and your accounting department has not been responsive to my requests. As a representative of Franchise Compliance, you are being directly accused in a court of law regarding your accounting department's inaccessibility in the context of your corporate affiliation. Franchise Compliance will be summoned into a court of law with it's Bathfitter client in the context of misrepresentation of payment for services. Several mystery shoppers who have also been employed by your corporation are also involved in this legal confrontation against your Bathfitter client, and their written testimonies are currently being gathered for identical non-payment occurences.

Regards,
- ---- ----"
