sight on service

Hello,

Can anyone tell me their experiences good and bad with two companies. One is Sights on Service and the other is Goodwin and Associates.

Thanks,
Liz

Sights on Service is doing shopping under the name of Secret Shopper. They offer limited shops in my area and I have had mixed experiences with them. I have had shops rejected that I firmly believe were not shopper error. On the other hand they have some shops that I am more than happy to perform. I did one of these in early Aug and was paid late Sept. I did another in early December that has not been paid yet, but I do anticipate seeing payment in the next week or so.

Goodwin and Associates I did one shop for several years ago that was upscale dining. The reimbursement did not start to cover the purchase requirements. Since then they have had payment issues and I don't know if these are sorted out consistently as yet. Use the 'Search' feature for 'Goodwin' and you will find recent conversations about them.
Secret Shopper was the first company I ever shopped for -- signed up in 2004. I don't do a ton of shops for them, but I've never had a problem in any way. Relatively speaking, the shops have reasonable compensation. I'd actually do more for them, but one of the shops that shows up most frequently, presents a conflict with a monthly shop I do for another MSC.
Sights on Service pays reasonably quickly. Little contact with human beings there, but that is fine with me! I am able to get my cat's regular yearly exam free each year, which saves a ton. The health club shop I only warn about because you will get pounded with follow up calls from them for months!

This company used to do shops for a major restaurant chain that reimbursed more food than a human family could consume in a meal. We would dine and bring home the next day's lunch (and sometimes even dinner) in a box. I miss those!

I only have done one shop for Goodwin. I had to remind them to pay me, but did eventually get paid. Because of that, I've avoided them.
Yes, SOS (Secret Shopper) pays timely, a month after the shop. Never had a problem.

Forgot to reply about Goodwin -- there are may posts here about the company, which you can find through the search function. You'll find that many have had problems with payment. They do eventually pay, but you more often than not, you have to keep on them. In my area, their restaurant shops are not fully covered by reimbursement. Since their primary client here is not generally a place at which I'd spend my own money, more often than not, I pass.
Secret Shopper is fine, pays when stated. Goodwin is slow, but I did get paid for my ice creme shop in about 3 months, I did write to payroll and get it taken care of.

Live consciously....
